1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Option to disable car quotas

A minor thing, probably not so minor for the ones writing the code but still really important nevertheless.

So many times browsing servers to find some interesting combo, I have found one but still did not join because all the cars I'd like to drive were taken. Is it possible to add an option for server admins that they can choose the cars that will be used on the server, but no skins or how many of each car will be used?

Server info would say for an example:
    RUF CTR | 5 clients
    Ferrari F40 | 10 clients
    total: 15/24 clients

Basically let's "fool" the server that there is 24 cars of each type and still limit the max clients to 24. With this option there could be 24 F40's racing at the same time and nobody is forced to use the RUF, unless they want to. Skins for the cars would be autopicked from the pool in the order.

The current servers are made in a way that each single car is already loaded even if no one is driving it.
Doing it as you suggest would defeat the whole purpose of the current method, which is to eliminate the loading lag when someone joins the server.

Ah, you're right. So only option would be to amount of different cars x24 which would take too long..

So for example let's imagine if we have 24 slot server with 8 x f40, 8 x f1gtr and 8 x cobra. Let's imagine we have 8 people on the server sitting in the f40s. Then when someone wants to join and pick 9th f40 the clients could load one of the existing skin already in use instead of new 9th one? Would that work? So in the case of 9 x f40 you would have 9 cars with 8 different skins. Because we can't choose our skins it doesn't really matter if one skin is shared by two or three cars.

That being I don't know how ac preloads those cars for empty slots so this may not work. If there is someone using skin1 in f40 and 2nd player joins is it possible to load that skin1 again for the new player without others having to load anything who are already on the server?

But it at least sounds simple. I'd still prefer it as an option. Sometimes you want to force some variety (think gt3 class server for example, you want variety of cars and not everybody running the newest lambo gt3 for example).

I think all the cars on track have to be loaded invidually, not just 1 model and bunch of skins.. o_O
