1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Please add Optional Weight penalty addition for multiplayer racing

    I would like to suggest adding optional weight penalty to the multiplayer mode, so it's easier to even things out between drivers with slightly different abilities to have closer racing.

    I used to run a league in Live for Speed, and having weight penalties allowed people who drove with a 1-3 seconds spread per lap to have some fun close racing. Of course this setting would be optional, but having it really helped running a club fun over a longer period of time. Especially if you're racing amongst friends where a couple guys are always just that bit faster. It's no fun to keep winning/losing after a while :)

    I would suggest that the weight penalty is something that the user will add onto their own cars in the setup screen, and be visible to others on the results/grid screens.

    I'd also like the ability to add ballast. We use it to good effect in our league to give everyone close racing.

    yes, also engine restriction might become in handy so you can balance the tire wear/power out just like in LFS

    Lets make this topic alive ones more.
    To add the additional weight (ballast) to the car, it makes it slower, right?
    This is a great idea for league racing, especially to slow down a bit the best drivers (i.e. the winner of the last race, will have 50kg of ballast in the next race, 2nd place driver 40kg, 3rd place driver 30kg).
    So other drivers have a batter chance of make it batter.

    I hope AC team implements this in v1.0, really, it`s a must for league racing.

    I dont see it as must for league racing.

    It is a good option to have to balance out car performances to allow for closer racing with different cars however.

    Any news or ideas why this isn't implemented in AC? As mentioned it would be a very good addition to the game, especially for leagues :)

    just one of the little things i miss..
