1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Screen tearing - PS4 / Xbox or both?

    I've been looking forward to picking up AC on PS4. One thing that would fundamentally put me off is bad screen tearing and stuttering, and I hear that that is plaguing the console release. For those that have tried it, is that affecting PS4, Xbox or both? And is it a show-stopper?

    it affects both but i only notice it as much when using the chase cam.

    Ok thanks.. slightly worrying then. That said, I only ever use cockpit view (and on PS4) - do you think that'll be OK? The videos show no screen tearing at all so hard to know if it's a problem or not...

    Yes, screen tearing is present in the wiew of cockpit on Ps4 version...:(

    Been playing the first 5 races in cockpit view on my XBox One and I didn't see any screen tearing. I did notice it in the XBox One version of F1 2016 though on that first video script when you meet your manager and there it was annoying.

    I do have the 2015 1 TB XBox instead of a release version, maybe it's a bit more powerful than those early versions?

    Ooh yeah I play solely in cockpit view as well. Chase cam is for Forza Horizon IMO. :)

    I've not noticed much screen tearing on PS4 using bonnet cam, a bit of frame stutter, yes, but I've barely noticed screen tear. It's something I hate to see, but it might just be my eyes glossing over things because I am completely smitten with how it feels.

    I've had screen tearing and fps issues on PS4 in cockpit view. It's a shame as the purity of the driving is great fun.

    I certainly have zero frame rate issues (XBox One) but I've only been doing career and some quick races. Is it happening in multiplayer perhaps?

    yeah i think so. but im the same as you, single player only but not having any issues.. maybe a frame here or there, nothing to stop me playing.

    Multiplayer-xbox one, issue, delay in frame rate. Fix advised. The handling and feel of the cars is truly superb. Force feedback is strong, truly realistic.

    There's some horrible vsync tearing using cockpit view at classic monza on the PS4. I'd rather they had made it 900p like the Xb1 version to eliminate it altogether if they couldn't get it full vsync at 1080p.
