1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Really looking forward to his next video about setups, "Assetto Corsa" means a "Racing Setup" after all. I think it is going to be absolutely possitive as well :)

Good video, and you could have added that he speaks positively of Assetto Corsa on that... and said it feels very much like real 488 GT3 car. And mentioned that earlier sims he tried, didn't match real life, but AC largely does

Seems the older AC gets the more it’s gaining in popularity and being picked up and recognised by more pro drivers. Like a fine wine or whisky, better with age :)

In addition, AC "the game" is a co-development with AC Pro. AFAIK exactly the same physics engine. So it's no big surprise that it's a) realistic and b) gaining popularity amongst RL race drivers. AC pro is being used by racing teams and car manufacturers.

I don't know of any other current sim available to the masses with such cooperation.

I remember when AC still was relatively new on the sim racing scene in 2014, reading some article (either Wikipedia or a sim racing site) on how "AC's physics engine cannot compete with professional simulator software like iRacing and rFactor 2, widely used by team professionals due to the superior tyre physics." I knew one day that would change! After over 2500 hours in Assetto Corsa (as well as thousands more hours studying onboard racing footage from many car classes) I knew the similarities I saw/see between the way the real and game cars handle respectively couldn't be false!

It's to me very surprising Simtech Pro uses T500RS, when the sim has motion and what seem to be high end pedals. Would expect DD or at least Fanatec Clubsport/TS-PC. Feel a bit better about my T500RS now lol

Have any Kunos employees mentioned the differences between Assetto Corsa "The Game" & Assetto Corsa Pro? I'd be very interested in hearing what those differences are...or at least some of the differences.

My understanding is AC pro can be customised any way to suit clients needs and is also needed for commercial use. The base software is the same though

That has always been my assumption as well. I based my assumptions on my own personal experiences as a computer programmer and the software package that we sold to insurance companies. They bought the base software, but if they wanted to make changes (and they all did) we could oblige them by having programmers like me implement their ideas and then bill them at an hourly rate.

With Assetto Corsa Pro, I assumed it granted clients a license in similar to ways what I've experienced, but it doesn't necessarily mean that they're developing Assetto Corsa Pro at the same time as Assetto Corsa - like they're two different animals altogether. That's why I asked the question -- I thought maybe @LeDude83 knew something for certain...as you can see I've made several assumptions and I've tried to be as sensible as possible.

I thought that AC pro was intended for events and showroom purposes, like the rigs specifically built for the Porsche Experience Centers or for Ferrari.
Both iRacing and rFactor 2 are not professional simulator.
RFactor pro is the more popular professional simulator, but it's not the physics that make the difference, it's the modular architecture that allows the professionals to run their proprietary physic modules (tyre, aero, chassis, etc.) in the engine.

I think it was asked and answered a million times but I don't have any sources :p

Someone will have to link us to an answer. Or someone from Kunos needs to answer once more.

I was surprised by that too, would have expected a DD or Fanatec ClubSport. It appears that the motion rig and brake are the most important factors other than the physics of the sim for many pro drivers, which I find interesting. A friend from Race-Media.tv told me that Chantal Kroll practiced in the AMG GT GT3 before Spielberg last year...used a Thrustmaster wheel too, but in a motion rig with Ricmotech pedals.

Marco has already gone on record MANY times concerning this issue. His statements--as well as common sense--indicate the truth: Kunos does not deliver some different physics engine to pro customers. The base game is the same for pro client and gamer alike. We drive what the pros get to drive...a remarkable fact in the gaming world, to me.

Wasnt that the Associator troll.that for some reason had an agenda, the funniest thing about him was he played with keyboard an mouse yet though he could make big claims about which sims handle close to the real thing. I dont know of any real car that can be driven with a keyboard and mouse but he must have had the magic touch.

There is not heaps between the t500 and fanatec wheels really, they arent even considerably closer to the logitech wheels then they are to any DD wheels.

If it was asked and answered a million times then why did you say "AC (the game) is in co-development with AC Pro"? That is indicating two separate products. I have never once believed there were two separate products, but you wrote co-development like it were a fact.

Having owned a Thrustmaster F430, Logitech G27, Fanatec GT3 RS, Thrustmaster T300RS, and now a Fanatec Clubsport v2...I can tell you that there is a WORLD of difference between these wheels. Apart from a Direct Drive wheel, the Fanatec Clubsport base is the only other wheel I trust.
