1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I didn't mean to cause any confusion. I also believe it's basically the same tech behind both pro and game. In my "internal thesaurus" that still counts as a "co-development". Hope it's clear now what I think ;)

  2. Wait, you guys mean that the more money you spend on a wheel the better the feedback from the wheel will be? Mind blown.

You can have my CSW V2 then, it's sitting on the floor broken while my backup T300 does the duty. :p

Some interesting test about a cab 4WD vs 2WD on the snow.

I'm guessing it really depend if it's FWD or RWD in 2WD mode & how the load transfer happen during braking.

Not sure it's the real reason behind it since he locked all wheels.

No problem, friend. I have always been curious about AC Pro - just because I'm a curious type of guy... I joined the AC family late (Oct 2015) so I'm sure there is a TON of stuff I don't know regarding Kunos/AC. I know exactly what you meant now. :)
Ugh...Damn you, Brandon. My response was going to be "It's the same way with hookers and cocaine!" :D You just had to beat me to the punch...

During December last year (around the time of the bonus pack), Aris mentioned either to RaceDepartment or someone else that he was enjoying the Fanatec Clubsport. I got the impression that he found the wheel more than pleasing for his tastes, and had chosen it over other wheels he'd recently been using.

Unfortunate that your Fanatec base broke, what went wrong? Motor fail? Interesting, but my situation was the exact opposite last April: T300RS went kaput, Fanatec gear has been rock solid at 100% forces for almost a year with external cooling.

Not sure, I haven't really investigated it. It just started feeling really spongy and numb, just a generic weight in the turns and no detail at all from the road or suspension or tires. I had a T300 that had to get sent back for repairs twice, the second time they just replaced it so I had a brand new in the box one sitting there and decided to hook it up to see if it felt better and it felt way better so I knew something was screwy with the V2. I need to contact Fanatec about it but I'm lazy and haven't done it yet.

I know people are more apt to complain about a product on the internet than they are to post praises when the object works as intended. That's human nature. If I buy something I expect it to work, so I'm not going to throw a parade when it does its job, however, if a product is whack I want to spread the word.

Having said that... I've read a lot of bad reviews about Fanatec's customer service & tech support. Yes, I know many of you have Fanatec equipment that works just fine, but...it should - especially for the price of their equipment. I've never kept a record, but I believe I've seen many more complaints about their wheel than their pedals.

Having said that... I've read a lot of bad reviews about Fanatec's customer service & tech support. [/QUOTE] The thing about those complaints is like yo say it's only the complainers that take to the internet. Most people have zero appreciation for the sellers side of things too, they can have completely unreasonable expectations that could never be met by anyone.

We probably all have bad experiences with the likes of internet providers and large corporations like that. Fanatec is one of the major players in the sim racing market but they're still not as large as those companies and I found their customer service to be prompt and I think I was even outside of warranty when they sent me a replacement part for nothing.

No company in the world has a production run that's has a 100% success rate. There will always be a handful of products on any production line that develop problems. Making things that are exactly the same is actually incredibly difficult. People need to factor in that they may be the unfortunate one that gets the bad product. As long as customer service rectifies that problem quickly that's the best you can expect from anyone, but you are going to have to jump through some hoops to prove you have the product, aren't using it incorrectly, etc.. I've only had one interaction with fanatec's support and it was perfectly satisfactory.

I would also say I owned one of their cheap wheels, it was a complete unit, no detachable wheel, I think it was called he forza something or other. It held up for about 2 years, but it got some serious abuse in that time. I then went for the clubsport series and it's in a different league. You get what you pay for. I have the clubsport v2.5 so they've had plenty of experience at this stage and are making better wheels.

Just depends on where you look I guess. I've had Thrustmaster and Fanatec products, had lots of problems with the Thrustmaster stuff but the CSW is the only Fanatec product that's given me any problems and I'm more inclined to think it was something on my end that broke it than it being an inherent problem with the product itself. I'd still choose Fanatec over Thrustmaster 10 times out of 10.

I've had a G29 and a T500RS and both have worked fine so far.

Now, here's a picture of Ari Vatanen in a cardigan.

The key to Ari's success was that he only turned the wheel in degrees which were multiples of 1.618.

  19. So, that KMR thing. I joined a Ford Escort Mk1 @ Vallelunga Classic server a few minutes ago, and started the race at the back of the grid. Just as I was accelerating away from my grid position, a car spawned right in front of me. The end result? 3500+ Euros of damage (include a 100 Euros penalty for causing the first crash of the race). LOL :(
