With the addition of the Ferrari 512, the Porsche 917, 908, 911RSR 3.0 that we have you could create a decent looking early 70s WSC multi class event

I know the matchups aren't perfect for a particular year or event, but even so it'd look, and sound, pretty good.

No, not quite. While I can't say a lot about NK as I had little interaction with him, I have to admit that he's a nice guy and very talented. He offered his help spontaneously and was quite involved. I think he prefers projects that are on the verge of being release because he likes to step in and quickly see final release.
Our project went really late due to me having to deal with the loss of my father in last October (and with two babies which are consuming every minute of dad's and mom's free time...) AND zaknix having serious personal problems.
Speaking of zaknix, I can only say good things about him. He's a young and immensely talented in 3D modeling. He had been on fire for the first weeks (the model growth was faster than the speed of light) and we've been in touch, discussing and polishing every single part he modeled. He sincerely loves this car and decided to put aside the AMG to finish the F50 because he knew he wouldn't have time and strength to complete both. In my opinion he deserves all the credit for being a serious person and a skilled guy. He has been simply overwhelmed by his "real life" and lost the edge of the modding affair. He also offered to give his model for me to finish it, so he's really ok.
At current stage physics of the main car (standard F50) requires only few touches to comply with latest AC updates, while the Koenig Twin Turbo version is in very early stage. Model is almost complete (lacks the engine, which is a main part for this car as it's almost completely visible) but has no loads and no mapping nor textures. As for the sound NK never gave me anything but video or SoundCloud examples.

It was always said that it would be 7 cars, because 70 years of Ferrari. So I highly doubt that it'll be multiple packs.

But that of course doesn't mean that they won't include any Ferrari in a future pack.
Actually, if we'll still get DLCs in 2018 (meaning that AC will go on next year like it did this year*), then I'd expect them to reproduce the currently successful SF70H, which together with a few other Ferrari, Maserati (Quattroporte?) or Lambos (Diablo?) or even Alfas (Giulia?) would make up for a nice Italian pack.

* not saying that they'll stop, just that we don't know the plans.

 

@massimo0vacca I really hope that you guys could get back together later, especially if F50 would end up not to be included to the DLC. So the model only lacks engine, LODs, UV maps and texturing ? I thought that it had only body shell, and some basic interior shapes. Getting car in game is big challenge too (for the first time).

 

The poll did seem a bit random and unfinished, so makes sense that it wasn't supposed to be seen yet! Oops.

Ah well, nice knowing the P4 is semi-confirmed anyway. Anyone else (pleasantly) surprised by the inclusion of the 1967 F1 car? Happy because it's proper competition for the Lotus, but it was hardly Ferrari's finest hour in that guise. I'll be happy if it is one of them though.

Probably (hopefully) they gonna reset the poll. More time to think what to vote, tbh I rushed with the F50. While I'm still going to probably vote F50 (second option Testarossa road going) but doesn't hurt to do a bit more research. Not fully familiar with all of the listed models tbh

 

I've already ported in game the cgtrader model (thatI bought for 70 bucks... Think about how much I love this car) that I personally use (I didn't buy the professional use license). I made all the shaders and animations and it went out quite well. You can even catch a glimpse of it in the content manager thread here on the forum.

Yes the 67 312 has never been viewed as a great car, Ferrari were concentrating on sports car racing iirc. Ferrari also didn't have the best of the drivers in that period either it seems, although the situation was made worse by a bad run of serious accidents.

 

You guys know the poll winner will be a post-2000 race car no matter what we have to say on the forums, right?

We're recreating the roster from the first Need For Speed game, so it was never going to be anything else.

 

@aphidgod: Please don't shatter our hopes .I want another V12 Ferrari road car besides that 812.

P.S: Any chance your mods will get proper dedicated sounds? The Diablo is fantastic but the sound is a bit disappointing (too much v10 in it)

 

Let's do this smart so F1-heads unite and everyone vote the same option so we have a chance against Testarossa/F50 mainstream community!

 

What's all this about a Ferrari poll being live? How can it possibly be live, and yet not on the forum?

 

Literally the next post after yours... 2 of the 6 confirmed cars are F1 and we still have people saying **** like that.

Ask the sound modders, it's not like we're not open to it or haven't tried to recruit sound guys. Maybe if we did a GT3 car we'd have more luck.
