1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Tire punctures

Kunos please include tire punctures in the damage model as a result of contact.
The tire model or the damage model is not complete without tire punctures simulation.
IRL tire punctures happen more often than suspension damage.

Please simulate Tire pressure = 0.
    Or
tire pressure = tire pressure - air leak rate
    for slow punctures.
    Air leak rate = n Psi/sec.

From the larger part of the player base that arent hardcore simmers i can see many angry threads about not being able to finish many races. I surely would want it too, but right now you get it from overheating the tires which is easy for anyone to understand (like burning out for too long). Someone who isnt hardcore simmer drives over a kerb too fast and then have to end the race on the first lap will probably not be too happy. Several options for PRO/SEMI PRO/ARCADE etc? Sure, but that takes a lot of work, and it might even be too much work for the team because they have a lot on their agenda as is already.

Its just my thoughts on this though. I might be completely wrong.

I don't see anything wrong with having the option, which should be the case for a lot more things. If the implementation is feasible to achieve within their schedule is something for Kunos to decide.

My guess is you're more specifically talking about collisions in single seater cars?

In touring/GT racing punctures are far less frequent where the wheels are protected under the body.

Trust me... I have spent a lot of time closely with some of the devs on how we can implement this and at its not going to happen..

We have tyre punctures now, if you get over 300c the tyres do pop.. But its in no way realistic like you suggest..

Let me see if i can find my suggestion post.

Why not puncture the tire as soon as the suspension or the steering is damaged?
Can Kunos simulate tire pressure = 0? I think they can.

Its not quite that easy as programs dont like a zero value, thats what sefano told me anyway.

tyre puncture is not just flat tyre as suggested twice here, there are also rolling on damaged rubber, tyre thread pieces spreading all around, rolling on the rim, suspension and chassis response for that, etc... looks like quite a little bit more.

The only good simulated damage I've seen so far is in Flatout Ultimate Carnage (followed by Burnout Paradise), but racing sims looks like to be on another path which doesn't seems to consider cars as an assembly of various components but as a whole.

I´d love it if this was possible, would make racing way more interesting. People would have to pit way more often.

It´s not the worlds end if it´s not possible, though.

Why 0 by the way, 0.1 would be sufficient, I guess? And it´s 1.0 for a flat tyre using absolute pressures anyway. (I don´t know if AC is absolute or relative pressure based, though)

To take this "great" product to the next "epic" level the whole damage model needs a major beefing up. I would rather see a total end to end real life damage model implemented rather than a unreliable watered down tyre blow-out model. Unless Kunos get it absolutely right it would frustrate me to think I got a blow out when probably I shouldn't have and visa versa.
