1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Too many servers and no one to race, other than that really enjoying MP had 3 races with 5 or more cars they were farken awesome, did have one toss bag ruin one.

    More racers less servers.

May be there should be a limit on locked servers until alpha testing is finished.

Setup your own open server, I've had 10+ people in each race I hosted with a 5minute booking period. I'm also onnly on an 800kbit upload.

Searching for races does feel like a bit of a chore. There seems to be a ton of locked and empty servers or ones with quite long booking periods. I'm not sold on the booking system yet to be honest, seems good for organized racing but not so great for those who just want to jump into some quick races.

One of the good reasons for this booking system is to eliminate any lag when a client joins the server but one of the bad things is the waiting period just to join a server. Some waiting periods are quite long depending on how many minutes were setup for the booking period and if you only use just a few minutes for the booking then you risk having fewer drivers joining your server! :(

This my first sim, so would not count me as a sim racer. Last night(in Australia) all the AC servers were full took ages to find one to race on, this morning have joined 4 only to find no one else there, but hundreds of locked servers defeats the purpose of MP in my book.

As it is my first sim and dont really know the etiquette of joining other servers have only been trying the AC servers. The way some of the hardcore simmers were carrying on about only wanting to race with friends and banning or shaming people who have accidents with them makes me cautious about joining any server but an AC one.

I am a 47 year old with technophobia, would not have a clue where to start, when my granddaughter comes over tomorrow will see if she can show me how to set one up.

  13. I think alot of them are locked simply because they are testing things and figuring out how everything works. As long as you aren't deliberately trying to wreck everybody near you and you try to treat it as if it was a real car then you should be welcome in pretty much any unlocked server...Even though it kills the immersion a little it is a common courtesy to use the virtual mirror (F11). Scan your mirrors often and try to always know what is going on around your car.

I should have a server in a day or two and you will be welcome there.

Thanks will keep an eye out for your server, have raced motorbikes 30 years count myself as a tough but fair racer, thanks for the mirror tip.
