1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Why the Ghostcar Data is so large?
Every day i lost some hundret Mb Space on my Partition, until i saw its the Ghostcar Data from AC.

Dear Devs 120 Mb for ONE Ghoastcar Data on Nordschleife, or 45 Mb on Mugello? Thats way too much.
If i have one hundred Tracks in furture with one hundred Cars then i can buy a Extra HD only for Ghoastcars!?

I love AC, but this is :mad::confused:, Sorry!

Simply turn off the ghost car if you can't spare the space or purchase another hd since the costs are low. :)

thats not a real Option! The whole Nordschleife is about 150 mb big at the moment, and only one simple Ghostcar is 120 mb big, sorry that is  !!!

Well, another alternative would be to store the majority of your ghost files to a DVD or flashdrive to free up your hd space!

I buy a bigger hd, money is not the problem, waste of space for a little but usefull option is the problem. In two years we all have some hundred Gb of Ghostdata if the modders make her job good :D

I was about to post another thread but since this exists I'll just post here instead. Here's the size of my ghost car folder:
    Untitled.png
Wouldn't really be a problem but it's saved in documents on my 120GB SSD which is almost full with nothing to delete. What I don't get is why a replay file with about 10 laps is the same as a 1 lap ghost car. Almost certainly Kunos could do something to reduce the size.

Hmm, my nordschleife ghostcar data is only 70 MB, on the p4/5. On the lotus 49 it's 80 MB. I'm guessing if I actually knew the track and ran decent times it could be even lower. 120 MB seems too high unless you're running the reliant robin and crashing on every corner ;).

70MB is still very large, not a good thing. Kunos recently reduced the replay size, which I took to mean that the 500MB limit now lasts a LOT longer. Perhaps they will work on shrinking this file as well. I would like to see some small ghosts so that I can share them with friends when I'm not online. If we all had access to an Alien's ghost garage, we might all get a little faster. 3.0GB for a ghost garage is far too much. I'm with Matty28, a replay of a 10 lap race should never be samller than a single lap ghost.

I have to agree on that compared to the replay sizes, the file sizes for ghost cars is excessive. A feature that almost prohibits itself from using it.

Yeah use the -documents folder- to save Ghostcars, what a brilliant Idea :D

I deleted over 500 MB of ghost data the other day. It's very annoying.

And before people start talking about buying bigger hard drives, I've deliberately partitioned mine for OS stuff and normal files. My normal files 'drive' has plenty of space left.

Same here. I do not like it when software saves its stuff to locations that I cannot choose, to use my partitions the way they were meant.

i don`t think that storage space would be that much of a problem if you could change GhostCar files location, but since it saves it on system drive (yes you could change your windows user folder location) and lot of us have SSD drives (in my case it is 80 GB - which is perfectly enough for me (3 other drives for data and SW .. )) .. so no, resobably priced 1TB drive offers the solution since we all probably allready have few TB we can`t use for GhostFiles ..
