That's a good question. The only thing that comes to my mind is maybe it's because of the skin?
Edit: Nope, checked the orange one and it still says '95. Now that's really weird.

Another strange thing is that I completed maybe 2-3 races before the one from the screen and everytime it send me back to pits, so I could take a screen like yours, but not this time.

 

Double strange!

I just hit Esc>Back to pits once I had crossed the line and then took the screenshot, it didn't force me to the results screen until the other guy crossed the line.

Definitely have to try that again tomorrow!

 

Ok,the great thing about the Abarth challenge is that on the straights I can steer with my legs while eating a large wedge of Christmas cake.

A whopping improvement after hours and hours of effort! Thanks for the tyre pressure info, it makes a considerable difference. This could have been even better but I fell asleep on Dottinger and was minutes late shifting into 3rd going up the hill.

I bought a new video card, from GTX660 to GTX1070Ti, what a big difference in controlling the car, thus the improvement in lap time.

I was pretty confident I could beat V8’s time just by making fewer mistakes but no idea where to find another 5s on top of that!

 

That's it i'm done with the Ps4 pro.This one just won't go online for anything it gets seriously bogged down.It's been sent back so i'll stick with my standard ps4 until i get a shiny new PC.Back to my Christmas cake and back seat driving.Nice to see others multitasking too.

It wasn't perfect at all, there were annoying small mistakes exactly at the most important places , Mini-Karussel, Bergwerk and the lefthander at the lowest point of the track. I think, I lost 2 seconds all in all, but I was very happy with the other part of the lap.

 

BTW with this car we should rename some corners, e.g. Mutkurve -> Schlafkurve

 

Yeah me neither. Wild guess is that I'd find 3s, but 5/6/7 seems unlikely. The issue with 595 is that even a little mistake can cost seconds when there's a longer straight ahead. Over 12min for one lap doesn't sound encouraging either.

 

@365gt, you don't need to be online for your WHC entry... Was there a noticeable improvement in the image quality with the pro?

Edit: Also forgot to mention, I change BB to 54 before T5 on the first lap and leave it at that.

Figured it out. It's shaders light patch doing it. I noticed it again tonight on BTG server when various cars had model year next to their names, like GT86 or F40 that don't have that by default. All went away when I uninstalled the mod, McLaren is no longer from '95 now upgraded to '96... Maybe I should try the challenge again and see if it's faster.
