1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Nice, that's why I love lobbies, you just sit there spamming refresh! What a time to be alive!

Are the Competition Servers running only with manual gearbox ?

That reminds me... where is the feature request thread?

I'd like to have a count down timer visible on the Competition servers so I know how long Prac/Qual/Race have left to go when I'm not in game... that way I can come back later at x time to try again.
Last night I saw one was *almost finishing* but seems to be doing that for ages.

If only there was a server queuing system (not having to spam the "refresh" button) or implement an auto-join function like the one in AC's content manager (mod) when a player leaves.

I am not a mechanic, but I do have decent understanding of mechanics (all self taught, or father taught).
I have replaced gear boxes, stripped engines, brakes etc. I even restored a car (Triumph Spitfire) and resprayed it, so know how to shake a spanner.

With the SFX100 build you just need to look at each individual bit and not as a whole. This makes it easier and less daunting.
It feels amazing with ACC, you can feel every bump, sausage kerbs (in particular are almost painful to go over), you can even feel the back end give way.
I would recommended one for ACC as it adds a whole new level of immersion, especially in VR.

That's an awesome rig! I'm pretty handy and have a friend who is an electrician who can help with the more life critical electrical wiring :D

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated :)

@Thug Is that rig sending a lot of movement noise through the floor? I'm asking cause I live in a flat and I'm afraid it will sound as if I'm using a hammer drill when I'm driving.

There is not a great deal of wiring, and most of the wires that are there are just plug and play, like wiring up a PC/TV/AV, so if you can do that you should be ok.
It used to be quite tricky, but someone designed the SFX Shield, which made it 100x easier.
You still need to connect the wires to the control units, but again, if you can wire a plug you can do this.

I also have a Butt Kicker so it makes more noise than if I didn't.
I have now rested mine on thick foam (the type you buy in packs with 'jigsaw' edges to interlock them and can be used for gym matts etc).
Without the kicker its almost silent, however my computer room is directly above the kitchen and wife sometimes complains, so maybe if your floor is concrete you should be ok, but if its wood you 'may' have issues.

@Thug that is a nice rig! I've seen your progress over on RD. Very slowly trying to gather up the parts to build my own SFX-100; so far I've only got the SFX Shield and the extrusion from Kinetic.

I have a defect in my fingers, it's very painful to change gear. I hope they don't enforce manual gears.

Edited: just in case someone is curious. Looks funny, but is extremely painful. Fingers won't just extend, will stay locked.

Well you are on your way.
I was going to buy bits and pieces and build it over a few months, but then realised that I am too impatient so hammered the credit card.
I was 50 on the 21st May and wanted it for a treat to myself.

I have no idea, was just looking for a seat on ebay and this one cropped up. Nothing wrote on it to identify it.

Why do we have 2:50 of overtime after a SP race to view the victory celebrations and you are locked out? All I want to do is watch the replay or restart the race.

    Two quick questions ...

    (1) What is the best way to improve your ratings so you can have access to more multiplayer lobbies? Do you just make your way methodically through the single player career mode or do you just stick with single player time trials?

    (2) How do you talk to other people during the race? I can't seem to figure out which key to press to talk to other drivers. Thanks!

To improve ratings for me the better approach is to race an IA that is challenging and keep racing close to other cars (and don't crash) the side effect is that you will train for racing with newbies with strange braking points .
The other option is racing online but you have to be super careful, but with one or two light contact and a bit of close racing you can win around 1 or 2 sa points in a 15 min race

Upon leaving the game it shouldn't require you to click once it got around to showing the credits ... really annoying
