1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

There's an interesting video here which shows that NVIDIA Ultra Low Latency (or AMD Anti-lag) is not always the best way of reducing input lag:

thanks for this news, this filter works with VR ?

Is it any different than the built-in sharpening? Better or worse?

  4. f_deutsch

I believe is kind of different and I think it does a better work than the one from ACC.

  5. Have your tried the nvidia settings or your own?

It’s vastly better now I can see! No more blur.
I’m running a 2060 super on a 2560x1080 ultra wide. Don’t know about VR but I enabled the Nvidia image sharpening left the settings at default .50.
In game I’ve turned off the advanced sharpen filter, sharpness 100%.

Edit: Also at 120 resolution scale I’m able to turn AA off completely, going to adjust Nvidia some more as it is a bit too much film grain.

Hmmmm, I wasn't too convinced by this when I tried it last night. I thought the Nvidia setting brought with it to much contrast, but I'll give it another go seeing as you all seem quite enthusiastic about it...

    from the nvidia website https://www.techpowerup.com/260604/...ates-to-null-reshade-support-image-sharpening

Only "Scaling will not work with VR" but the filter yes

    Image Sharpening Feature

NVIDIA Control Panel Image sharpening controls, including GPU upscaling, are introduced in the
R440 driver. Currently, the following limitations apply.
    • Scaling is not supported on MSHybrid systems.
    • Vulkan / OpenGL applications are currently not supported for sharpening
    • HDR displays driven by pre-Turing GPUs will not support scaling
    • Scaling will not work with VR

Yes, you can turn Image sharpening on without checking the gpu scaling box so I was thinking it would work. I'm using 100% resolution so no scaling. Maybe something in my engine.ini in messing with it. do you see a difference in vr if you put your in game sharpening at 100 then try the nvidia option on then off?

Also noticed that if you go in nvidia/manage3d settings/ program settings / assetto corsa competizione image sharpening the gpu scaling box doesn't even appear. only under global

What does scaling do? Should I enable it?

Depends. I thinks it's for 4k. Downscale then sharpen it I think but dont take my word for it

It serves to select a lower resolution in game and then the drivers scale it to your monitor resolution: for instance, your monitor is 3440x1440, you set in game resolution to 2580x1080, the drivers scale it to 3440x1440 and, meanwhile, you can apply some sharpening to compensate some blur you can have with the scale from a lower to an higher resolution.

In ACC there is also an option to something similar in video settings, the Resolution Scale, which I consider to have better results than nvidia drivers.
You can set ACC with your monitor resolution and then apply a lower Resolution Scale to improve performance.
Also, there is the Sharpness option, so you can add a bit more if you prefer, when using a lower Resolution Scale.

Try with it, both nvidia drivers and ACC options and see what you prefer.

  16. Please remind me, was the default in-game Sharpness set at 100 (or 80)? Perhaps a silly question, but I recently upgraded pc and cant remember why I have certain settings. Thx.
