1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Electrically controlled dampers, soft rubber bushing used in suspension, damper hysteresis, tender/helper springs, chassis flex etc..

There are lots of things in normal road cars that could be added as features in ac. Not all of them make the cars handle better though.

While I certainly have my own personal preferences when it comes to what kind of cars and/or tracks that I prefer to drive in Assetto Corsa, I DO want Kunos to continue providing us with a diverse range of vehicles. A) It allows for a much more diverse user base which equals more money which means A.C. will continue to develop. If A.C. was strictly street cars, we would lose a LOT of players and vice versa if the sim were only open-wheel race cars, for instance. B) While I don't often jump into open-wheel or Formula One cars, knowing that they are there allows me the opportunity to expand my own personal preferences in the future. Again, if AC were to focus solely on one type of car class, which several games already do, I think we would all lose out in many ways.

Just like in real life, I'm certain that when the developers are working on the latest open-wheel racer, they probably learn/discover something that can then be translated into their street cars and that benefits everybody. I'm greedy. I want more cars, more tracks, more features, etc...but, I also want Kunos to continue to providing us with outstanding quality components. That takes time. So, if the next update or free car/track isn't something that necessarily benefits me right away, I'm okay with that. It probably will some day and even if it doesn't, I know it will benefit thousands of others immediately and that keeps AC relevant in the sim world which means I will eventually get something that is right up my alley.

I came to Assetto Corsa with very limited virtual driving/racing experience. Gran Turismo 6 is my only other exposure to the virtual race world. And while it is sim-cade, there are many positive things to be said about that game. Unfortunately, the same can't really be said about the interaction between the developers and the players. I am absolutely blown away to see the developers responding to questions, often in an extremely quick fashion, on these forums. I get such a wonderful feeling every time I see a developer respond to a player. It really shows that they care about keeping the community informed and that was completely the opposite when I was involved in the GT6 world.

I think best to avoid too many mod cars in a public server. If you do maybe just stick to one and run it on its own. People dont want to have to download 5 mods and install them to jump in a server in a stock car.

For a league run or closed group where you can easily link all content its not as much of a problem but for a pub server id pass especially on the more obscure mods or any dodgy rips.

  4. No point in getting race cars if you can't race them properly.... lol

  5. I just want to point out that my disinterest in modern race cars does not mean that I would prefer to see Kunos stop making them. That would be selfish. Releasing a wide range of car types in the DLC packs is the best way to make sure that all AC users get at least something that interests them. Others have suggested releasing "single make" (eg. Lamborghini) or "single type" (eg. GT3) packs, but that would (IMO) be a bad idea.

I surprisingly liked the 003C much more than I thought. It understeers like a pig on default setup however it just feels more alive and moves around more than the other GT3 kinda cars. It makes an interesting sound too.

Just saw an interesting post on Racedepartment that talked about a video interview with Kunos. The video is in Italian, but I think this post resumes in English. Or use youtube english auto subtitles, but I think in this video the auto eng subs aren't good.

"Marco Massarutto told in a video posted by ACItaly that within this week would be released 1.3.5 with Audi R8 Plus and some features about multiplayer latency.

About half of December will be released Dream Pack 3 with Brands Hatch laser scan and 7 new cars: Lotus 25 di Jim Clark, la Lotus 72 D, la McLaren 650 GT3, la Mercedes AMG GT3, la 500 Abarth Assetto Corsa e la Ford Escord Mk.1 (I missed last one).

Before Xmas there will be a free content and on 31st DEC will be announced a new Brand license.
That's all I know till the end of the year"

Then I just searched for ACItaly on google and found their youtube channel:

Porsche isnt a bomb, its closer to a nuke or meteor. Im pretty sure id have heart problems for a few weeks if they got that license as i wouldnt be able to function effectively after being that hyped.

the horrible thing about getting a porsche license is choosing what cars to license. Porsche pretty much have the largest selection of worthy cars to license. Seriously picking around 10 porsches would be a very hard task.

I didnt like neither cars or track from DP2, but I have it.
I am inlove with brand's hatch and I felt bad when I couldn't find it in AC, but when I've learned it will be in AC, I cannot explain how happy I was.

I didn't like single car in that DLC tho, I may drive Ford Escort and 500 Abarth, but but
I know we'll have AE86 and we currently have GT86 it'll be amazing to drive those on Brand's Hatch, also Lotus Elise, Exige, BMW M3 E30 will be amazing too.

I hope the new License is Mazda, please make it Mazda or Honda or Aston Martin, Jaguar :p
I would love to see Honda or Mazda but we know Honda used Assetto Corsa for a Contest in England, so it really may be Honda after all.
