Even cut and pasting all your current skin folders into a temp place so that you can simply delete whatever skin folders the update downloads seems like a huge pain in the butt. Have fun.

 

most classes have same one-painted standard skins, e.g. bmw gt2 has a plain white and a plain black livery in its default library....that simply doesn't fit to a grid which has all painted liverys.

 

if i simply backup my current skin-folder, empty the skin-folder and delete the skins which AC downloads again (which should be all afaik) i miss all the skin-fixes and newly added skins.

 

That sounds like a lot of work for very little gain, but I am not in a position to judge since I will likely spend hours redoing hundreds of skins preview pics using the preview maker tool that we get today.

 

Even most mods will take sometime to update. Some might take up to 1 month to fix their mod if the change is considerably more than breaking the sound bank. Thats what I am worried but I am prepared to fix it myself.

 

Really happy with how my setup is running so am actually looking forward to the update. First combo for me is Ferrari 458 on Black Cat County

 

mainly interesting for AI races (i guess) and watching a replay with 22 fully-painted liverys and 2 plain-colored liverys looks a bit.....strange. But if the AI didn't really improve with 1.5, i think i can skip this task.

 

Little birdies tell me the AI is improved. Can't wait to see what exactly that all entails.

I'm sure it would affect things, and you'd also have more power in the engine when it's cold, since the cooler denser air would help you burn more fuel.

 

I use both. So you have a problem with that?

Also, a very old idea of mine, is to actually be able to compare different ghosts.
I found this to be extremely helpful and nice to have as an option in GT5/6, for example.

Yeah I think it should work, obviously when it´s implemented. No I have no problems, just saying in public that delta-app>ghostcar for laptime practice.
The ghost-compare feature is one of the neat things in pCars that actually works, fueling their online laptime events. I doubt we'll se it in AC for a while.

 

The ghost car is broken because there is something wrong with the Timing,
I like the ghost car and want it fixed.
I even want extra options like driving to other players ghostlaps and other car brands/types, this would bring some more "Game" experience in this Simulator.

Sorry Didn't read #233 and #231 , I think we have the same thoughts about ghost car and features

 

I wonder if sand from the desert will be at some spots on the road and give less grip, how crazy wouldnt that be!!

got all excited for 5secs seeing a update on steamdb but it still a beta one , do not find a game breaking bug now kunos or hell will break loose

 

I wouldn't like that, with the current engine it would be passive.
Perhaps when it is dynamic,
If that is possible, they can also do rain and dry line.
Or even rain washing the dirt and rubber of the track.
So i think you we have to wait for AC-2
