1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Man I did the Ferrari 458 T2 championship first round ( Monza ) last night, after about 20 attempts I managed to place 1st but I don't think I've driven as hard in my life ( and that includes IRF ) the AI were all over me. I was basically braking as late as possible into every corner and they were still sitting on me like it was a Sunday afternoon drive for them + their grip accelerating out of corners compared to mine was a joke. So aggressive. The only place I could really make up time was into the Rettifilio chicane off the main straight. I got bumped off on so many occasions from behind too.

    And that was on Easy.

    I actually needed a shower after the race. I was dripping with sweat.

    I mean, I'm all up for a challenge but damn!?

    Isn't that the same? He mentions that the cars and the physics feel great but he also talks about the AI which, in its current state, could push a lot of players away from the game.

    The video is interesting because you can clearly see that he wants the game to do well on consoles but you can also hear the disappointment in his voice.

    he starts the e30 race at around 6:15 into video, im thinking kunos have used the AI settings that are on the special events looking at a config file of a race against ai in one of the special events reads this, I will add the difficulty text in red.

    For those interested who can't watch the video, Billy got -
    1st event: gold
    2nd event: he was in last place but ended up with a gold due to the pit-in bug.(hard difficulty)
    3rd event: 7th place (medium difficulty)
    4th event: 2nd place (medium difficulty)
    5th event: 3rd place (hard difficulty)
    6th event: gold

    As expected, he completely failed on the 3rd event, because it's literally impossible on console lol
    The 2nd event is very tough too, but was very doable for me to consistently get bronze - gold on medium difficulty.
    He mentions many times throughout that he is concerned about the inconsistent and buggy difficulty for the console version.
    Thankfully it doesn't bother me too much and I'm patient for a fix, but I can see this putting a lot of people off if some events are literally impossible, and then some are extremely easy.

    That would actually describe the PC special events and career also.

    So is the AI in all events multiple seconds a lap faster than the AI in those same events on pc or is the discrepancy only in certain ones?

    A user here did a comparison and according to him the AI on console is faster than on the PC. This is only a problem in races.

    Stefano Casillo said that they would rebalance the AI on consoles. At first however they want to update the console versions to a "decent playable state".

    I just tried the E30 race on pc at 92% i came 6th fastest ai ran 1:45s my fastest was a 1:49, sure billy said the ai on his did a 1:42 on medium so thats got to be around 95% difficulty :eek:

    I didn't watch the video I just asked a question based on his post. I think game as a game is amazing, only the difficulty thing is unbalanced and stupid.

    Hopefully Kunos/505 get it all sorted out for you guys sooner rather than later.

    I watched it, and I must say he was a bit sloppy and untidy. The other M3 at least shouldn't have been a problem for him.
    Guys, you really should leave the career mode and some special events behind and play the race modes!
    We have the same problems on PC for ages.
