Infact to be honest, i don't like the Idea of penalties. Too generic It's my opinion anyway, nothing else.
But if they could split in categories depending on type of control peripheral you use and depending on the usage of esp, it will be better i think.
They are three or four too much different levels. On the top to be consistent with the pad without esp, you need to be very slow

 

Right. And I think that is why your forum account and mine does not show up as ACC Licensed. I'm just saying that it should be interesting when multiplayer rolls around. It may be that those of us with un-linked steam accounts can't actual enter multiplayer. This will be a big problem if it's the case.

 

Getting back on the graphics topic. I tried these settings. r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=3 suppose to use MSAA. Its looking good on my system.

The more i drive, the more i like it.
I't not just physics (which i already love it), but overall package.
Sounds are amazing, graphic finally is on target even on my old pc (with some workaround from this community, thanks guys), gameplay with so many different driving experiences due to weather and 24h daytime, the rating system which i find very very interensing even in this first simple interactions.

I've the feeling that if acc's development follow this way, i can have my best sim ever, unseating the glorious GTR2 from the 1st and, until now, unattainable position in my preferences.

 

dont normally post here so never needed to add my steam account. not everyone uses forums for the game they play. or uses the official game forum for social media. only reason i joined here was to post about the issue with the not saving. then some suggest because you havent linked stream to here your a pirate . when its not the case. not great welcome if people suggest new people are pirates.

as to penalizing people for using assists bad move. no need to do it.doesnt effect me but you alienating people by doing so. with assists on you will be slower anyway then someone without who is good. so why would you further slow down someone and ruin their enjoyment by adding a penalty to using assists ? no a great decision.

 

Well, many people who are active on this forum saw a lot of unlicensed accounts for AC who posted here with issues where it was clear they had a pirated copy of AC.
So it's not that far fetched to suspect this.

 

Yeah, this started with a save issue that suggested online functionality issues. The lack of an account linked was a “?”, not meant to be overtly aggressive. But as Schnip said, early in AC lots of issues were claimed and we all worried before learning of pirated copies.

 

if im honest when i signed up i didnt notice anything where is says i needed to do so. thats mainly the layout system of this website.its not about being far fetched is it ? you should be trying to welcome new people to your community. if a new person joins and doesnt know the layout of the forum or how it works. then your met with your a pirate. you instantly putting people off. when all its really about is a bad website design and lack of communication. its too easy on the internet to just say crap. being nice costs nothing. also if your a community ideally you want it to grow.

people dont want to jump through hoops to do basic things.its shows how ineffective the social media side of this game is if through all platforms a simple notification cant be achieved without so much effort put in.yet not connect.

for eg i had to post steam,reddit,twitter,facebook,join the official forums link steam account to basically try and just notify the game isnt saving for some people. doesnt that show this needs to be easier ? even after doing all of that. only constantly posting on here numerous times the same details before anyone has really mentioned it.this is not effective but also worrying that a simple message cant be recieved or answered without so much effort. then to add to that because of a lack of ideal communication from a poorly laid out website explaining how to achieve what final hoop you need to jump through you get called a pirate. after backing early access ! not great for customers of anykind.

 

Well, the first thing I've read from you was this post:

You have the issue of things not saving, ok.
But then you finish by saying 'literally cant play it'.


Granted, setups not saving is annoying if it happens, but this ain't some game-breaking issue that acutally prevents you from playing the game.
We just got the first public early access release of the game a week ago, so now is the time to get feedback and sort out bugs. But first the reason for an issue needs to be found and as some already said, you need to understand if this a problem with the game itself or if it's an issue with access/admin rights on your Windows user account.
(btw: I'm saying this because after I switched to Win 10 I had some issues about this on Ac with the default cloud storage for Windows users and their documents folder, worked fine after I deactivated the cloud stuff, so the problem in that case wasn't the game itself)


So you should also understand that the devs might focus more on bigger issues the game has, while your entry to the forum comes off in demanding manner for me at least.

 

I see what you mean dgeesio and agree to an extent, but this is the internet and since time begun you get people calling and pointing the finger on it, so just read past those posts, that's what I (and most other people) do.
I also have the same issue as you with the save function and have been a 'day one' supporter/backer for both AC and ACC.
Not only that but these forums are populated mainly by fans of the game/sim and only frequently by the developers (who I am sure have not accused anyone so far, unnecessarily).
Some fans want a quick TT hot lap session, some want to drop in/out of races and some take their racing extremely seriously and a combination of all of these will reply to your posts with different views. Just don't take them to heart.
Anyway, welcome to the forums.

 

same here. only one car, one track, but its so much fun to start the game and drive. and i did 90% with dry conditions. and sun.
but, before aris/stefano think they are right:
tried some laps with all the water on the track - wow, wow, wow. thats the way to go for me. to master this conditions.
and night race with rain was so incredible. you can see nearly nothing. must hope that you anticipate where other cars, breakpoints, breaking lights are!
and when i look at the roadmap.... - again only wow!
hope this sounds not be ACC FANBOY LIKE - but i am happy that i found ac - this gem - and now i can enjoy acc. really only happy that people with heart and brain in the right place are developing something that really really touches my heart.
before it becomes religious or i try to get buddy buddy with kunos (dunno the right words in english) i stop this posting.
wanna have ac/acc/kunos sticker for my car. a large one!

 

So far I'd say 70% or more of my actual driving (= excluding sessions to setup controls, FOV, graphics, etc.) was in different kind of rain and/or night sessions.

GT3 was never a class I particularly enjoyed driving, but ACC's improved physics made them more enjoyable to me in the dry already over AC, but starting from light rain I'm more in my element as the car gets more alive and you can 'play' with it a bit more. I mostly drove street and vintage race cars in AC, wet track driving brings me at least somewhat of that aspect back. I don't see myself dropping driving in the wet anytime soon.

 

It's the same for me, and this also is the problem I have with ACC.
Its a totally new game, for sure, but at least for me, under the hood, it is still AC. But ported to a new engine and improved in every perceivable way!
And I dont even like GT3 cars for a start, but somehow magically in ACC the Traction control, ABS, and also the seq. gear change do not feel so disconnected and artificial anymore.
In ACC the car seems to be alive and makes me want to interact with it in an immersive environment.
I'm also a sucker for such details of how e.g the autoclutch works when putting the car into gear and pulling away.
So I really genuinly enjoy the GT3 Hurracan in ACC, while I never (no exaggeration, really never) even touched that car in AC
And thats before we even start to talk about the new graphics engine, the FFB, or the Sound...

So in the end, ACC makes AC feel a little bit dated, and I still need more time to accept that, once again, the world has moved on

Just ordered the McLaren Wheel from fanatec and the brake performance upgrade kit. Roll on the real (VR) release day.

 

That would be great and make the decission to buy it much easier.

If they release DLC's I hope it will be included in the career, while I don't expect it.
DLC's you only use in single races and online are not that interesting, besides special contet for endurance races (Bathurst, NS etc.)

 

Would be interesting, but a 911 GT3 Cup isn't any easier to drive than a GT3-spec car. Especially without ABS/TCS like they are driven in Carrera Cup/GT3 Challenge.

 

These news makes me very happy as a big fan of the GT4, Porsche Cup and Super Trofeo series!

That's a different car from the cup car we had in AC isn't it? Which is closer to the road car.

Porsche are really bad at naming their cars, they're all 911, and the GT3 is a race car but also a road car.
