And I mean driven for more than one lap. ;-)
(It's more a rhetorical question because I could image that you really have driven every car in AC - even the modded ones. )

And no, I haven’t driven every car in AC. The main time went into the KTM at Nords Tourist...

There are plenty, and most prominent cars I haven’t driven, not even one lap....
I.e. the P1 GTR I haven’t touched once, and proud of it!

Couldnt see it being tha thard to do. NONE of the Ac DLC has any kind of copy protection on it, not even DRM.. If we so choose to do it (not that im saying we should) but we COULD trade DLC quite easily. Once you have paid and downloaded the DLC the files are really no different to anything you download from a community mod car..

I will continue to drive AC daily while we wait, but Godspeed AC11. Hopefully mods will be easily converted to whatever new graphics engine the sequel uses.

 

I wouldn't be sure about modding, but would be nice.

Would be awesome it would be possible to make madding in such way that amount of rips would be minimal.

But I wouldn't expect modding. We'll see.

Yes, they have been rather quiet since they announced Laguna Seca coming......However, I'm not bothered by it or worried about AC or it's future (the saying "rock solid" comes to mind.

Also, the way some of the community reacts and engages with the devs (in particular, Stefano) I wouldn't be surprised at all if they decided to just keep to themselves more now...Even if they are in fact working on AC2 for example, I wouldn't blame them one bit for keeping quiet (even until release date lol), because who would want to answer all the questions and debate the way we have seen so far. God love AC, and I'm giddy as a school boy even thinking that there will be an AC2

I would be disappointed if the successor of AC did not offer the possibility to mod (assuming there will be something like an AC 2).
Beside the great driving feeling and the overall top quality this sim offers all the mods make it stand out for me, it is now what rfactor 1 once was imo: modding heaven.

 

Mods brings a lot of good, but I certainly could see a lot of ways how it is bad also. Especially from the developers point of view.

We could turn on philosophy mode on and go on forever with why and what. Some of the first things which comes into my mind is spoiling the community. Too much content can be an issue, it can be something like an inflation, you know, if you print too much of them, then they are loosing value. Also when community is turning into system where drooling over whats next seems to be more important than enjoying what is available already, then it is bad IMO. Spiritually. Mods doesn't really help there.

I'm still looking for great classic (70s and older) car mods in the future, but as we can see they aren't really coming. Not surprised - difficult to make, difficult to get data and references, difficult to please people with them.

As for tracks its very weird.... people wants more tracks, but half of the official tracks we have aren't used too much. For example, I don't remember when I had an online race on any version of Monza, classic and modern.... I would expect mod tracks to be more important, because people seem to feel lack of tracks. But on the other hand even some of official tracks are used relatively little. Mods are probably obsolete because people are very picky for tracks, and just a few guys can do good enough track mods, but seems that they still aren't used very much.

AC didn't plan to have that much content IIRIC, thats why modding was enabled.

 

Kunos have even said that they don't know if a possible future release would be car related. And while I'd like to see a further advanced version of AC, I'd also really enjoy to get some popcorn and watch the sh*tstorm unfold when all the spoiled simracers complain that they can't do that. Might even have movie potential!

We'll see what will come.

 

Wait, you guys arent in the closed beta for the new project? The way you have to manipulate the rigging is really nice but the yacht handling still needs a little work such as hull surface and core temperature being way off in HM1. There is a nice choice of rackets already and many sweat band liveries. You havent lived though until you have played a full match in stormy waters.
