AC really really quiet?

Remember the jump from netKar Pro to AC. They are very different beasts. The next KS sim could as different from AC as AC was from NKP.

 

I really don't care what Team Kunos do next. I really hope they make a new Sim, but I would also understand if they said enough is enough and went off to relax in the Sun and try to forget about the long days and harsh comments. Good luck to them on either count.

 

I'd still like to know what they're sinking about.

Well, what I know is that all of my friends that played AC are now playing PC2, just for the simple fact that it's easy to host informal online sessions without the need for a dedicated server.

We all think AC is the better game overall, but the ability to easily play with our friends far outweighs the advantages AC has in overall physics and force feedback implementation. When we drive solo offline it's always AC, but that internet thing is a problem. Oh and two more things... Weather and night time.

I really hope that any update of this version, or AC2 will have the kind easy online hosting that PC2 has, in addition to weather and night time driving.
Le Mans at night in a light rain is hard to beat.

 

Are you sure that the online hosting really has to do with it? The way i see it, much more people will opt for something easy, and accessible, than for something difficult, complex, and less accessible.

 

Having folks able too race without dlc with those that do would be a plus

 

I've been gaming with these guys since the debut of IL2 in 2001. It has nothing to do with difficulty or aversion to simulations, we have played all the IL2 flight sims, all the ArmA series, GTR, AC, etc... together for almost two decades.
As I said we all agree AC is the better driving "game", but because only one of our guys can put up a dedicated server, and our bunch hails from California, across the US and Canada, to England, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Norway, and Israel, time zones become an issue so the ability for us to just hop online at a whim and throw up a server, and make changes easily if we want to change cars or tracks or settings, it a giant plus.

As I said, we all think AC is superior in terms of physics, force feedback, the reality of track surface, etc... If AC was as easy to host online without a dedicated server, PC2 would not be on our hard drives.

 

...So why not gather together in an available server in your preferred racing game? Especially if you have a server already you can just have multiple server admin and someone can change it to whatever the guys in that time zone prefer. I live in the UK and have played on Australian servers before without any issues so you should all be able to join the 1 server. Or you could try and find some other communities that already have servers and help fill a lobby.

 

I've been disappointed by the new closed beta yacht tennis sim.

Think you might be getting confused with what the word Advocating means.. Because i sure as hell wasn't advocating piracy, if you had noticed i had stated that it was possible, but i was saying "not that we should do it.."
I think you also totally missed the point of what i was saying. I wasnt actually talking about piracy or anything of the sort. I was responding to the statement of " i hope DLC for AC 1 could be associated with other steam apps" To which i replied that it should be easy since there is no copy/piracy protection on any of the DLC.. See thats not me advocating piracy, that is me saying something totally different SHOULD be possible, due to the DLC having no protection (which in theory means if someone chose to pirate the DLC, it wouldnt be hard due to that lack of protection)

Just because you mention about something DOES NOT mean you are advocating it...
