Yeah.. whatever... i love acc, but anyway, it's far from what should be considered release ready. It's just not, what I would expect to get, when i would go into a store and buy a retail box. It's not the end of the world, but i don't think it's clever to call it 1.0, because it's in fact fake news. Game reviewers won't take care if "sim is still in development", when it's officially 1.0

 

I do get your point and it is frustrating but its just the norm these days were all buying beta testers look at dr2 lol a title I truly regret buying and I don't often say that in sim racing.


I remember the days when I bought the grand prix series in a box on a floppy disk and that's it all there! Those days are long gone but the plus now is that we have patches, and support for years to come.

 

Looks twice as bad in VR. Its almost like AA is not enabled? I've maxed it out and makes zero difference as far as I can see.

 

OK, now let's try to imagine Kunos had stated something like "OK guys, we are sorry but regardless of the countless hard working days we still don't have everything ready as we would like it to be, so we are postponing the release until we are totally happy and every little detail is in the game".

What do you think it would have happened? And would you have preferred that to happen?

what's the point of having early acces if the full release is still early acces. I'm done with reading some of these answers like, they didn't promise that or they didn't confirmed this. They didn't say sh*t to begin with. Just that is was going to be an official blancpain gt3 game with all the blancpain tracks and cars.
I really love Kunos and what they have been doing. But releasing a game like this out of early acces is just Bullsh*t. It makes no sense at all. So you can just release everything and call it a game and then rely on people to just wait till it get's better? and then every month we get a fix or update and then we need to be thankfull? Yeah right.

Well, i'm done with this discussion anyway cause i just wanted to point out my dissapointment. But i hope they figure it out in the future and they learn to finish a game before it get's released. It's not the first developer nowadays that works like this anyway so.

 

Yes. And Low Ratings can hurt The Sales, which Means less People online.

But i think its fair to complain if a Game is flawed - and Not only of its made by sms. While there is a Point where its enough, of course.
The singleplayer is Simply broken if The ai Cant overlapp in endurance races. Your left with sprintraces with gt3 Cars and ~10 Tracks, Dynamic weather Adding Not to those and The career being crippled.

Racing Game Devs should really ask ISi How to geht that right or Licence The ai, cause Its The only Game where The ai Can handle endurance races, besides being ressource Friendly. Which is another Problem for a niche Game.

 

They probably didn't know there were going to be problems, well, they probably did know there were going to be problems because that's how life works but hoped there wouldn't be.

Each one of us has a different PC, that requires a lot of testing.

I can forgive Kunos because I've been involved in product launches where we've tested the crap out of something, tested it beyond what any normal person would put it through. Release, breaks down immediately with the first customer. No matter how hard you try it is impossible to guarantee a product will work once it gets out to the great unwashed. Big companies can dedicate a lot of time and money to testing stuff and use their experience with the hundreds of other product launches they've done to reduce the likelihood of mass failure but it still happens to even the biggest companies.

Kunos are trying their best, this all sucks for everybody but I'm confident it will be fixed. Hopefully before tomorrow evening.

Well, first of, what is the point on setting the resolution to 4k, but loweting the resolution scale to 75%??? That complitely fu**s up your picture.
So set it to 100%, if it hits your performance, then set it to 2k, but don't lower the resolution scale!! Or you will get what you are complainig about.

If this doesn't help, then I would suggest you a clean install of the graphics driver (so you get clean profiles), and also maybe deleting the game settings and doing a file check, so it will download and set new fresh config files.

The game shouldn't look as it does on your PC. It looks more like some setting is overwriting the ingame AA setting, so it doesn't work.
But first of, try and set the resolution scale to 100%, and see if it helps.
And for comparation, use the same track and the same place I made my screenshot.

Maybe also will be better if you will create a ticket to the support, if nothing helps.

 

I was not talking about bugs, but about features that will be there in the future but they are not yet ready.

But as always, people who complain always make more noise than people who are happy. Happy users enjoy the game.

I am not saying ACC is perfect, but I am really happy that it has been released.

I Read multiple Times they Could. But i Could Imagine its wishful thinking considering some people Said that about pcars2 Where they either get stuck of crash into each other.
R3e, pc2 and ac certainly cant. Obiviously hard to make that work.

 

Many many things to try in this build, for now i've only had a look to 1 new car and 1 new track.
So...Lexus @ Brand Hatch.
I don't know if i've luckily hit the perfect combo, but the yesterday's tests has been mindblowing.

I was searching for a quick online run, i've found @MrGit@Twitch server available. Excellent, but need to have 3 track medals on Brands...

Ok so, "...let me run a little sp practice session just to score the medals..."
...i thought...
"...Well, now i'm here let me try some new options, like random weather and track..."
And a marvellous, English, gray/rainy day was the scenario for my test with AI's cars all around. Little rain, track almost completely dry, becoming humid after some laps. My score (3 track medals) was obtained just after 5 laps, but that combo was so much fun, i literally wasn't able to stop driving. Also because rain's intensity wasn't fix during the test, it was always some little rain but sometimes a little bit havier, sometimes almost gone. I was on slick tires and it was the right choise in the beginning, but after 4 or 5 laps the track conditions was exactly to the cross point between slick and rain tires. Some laps later, all run with about the same pace, i've tried to swich tires just to know what was the optimal choise for that situation and, surprise, even then my laptimes was about the same but with completely different temps (cold in slick / on fire with the wet) and a total different car's handling. My delta time app was sliding up and down, red and green all over the track but at the end there was no right or wrong tire. Awesome.

 

Those same settings didn't **** up my picture in v0.7.
Setting resolution scale to 100% with temperal upscaling turned off results in the exact same (or close enough that I can't tell a difference) picture quality but with a drastic fps loss.

 

I'm also in love with this car

 

The Special Event at Brands Hatch is so much fun. But I might be a bit biased, Brands Hatch is hands down far and away my favorite out of the ten tracks ACC offers.

Still i haven't understand if it is a slow or fast car.
But it's a love to drive and the engine sings like a beast.

 

@Michael Hornbuckle - Have you tried turning temporal up-sampling off? It did weird things to my graphics having it on. Your signature says you use a 4k TV. Have you turned off all the default filter crap some TV have on?

 

It didn't in 0.7, but It could be in 1.0. This is software, everything can change.
Here are my settings





As I said, try and do other things I also mentioned, from this point I don't know how else to help you.

Also try to set the video settings to default, apply, exit the game, then start the game, and set them up. The graphical settings can be bugged, a off/on switch might help.

 

It's a solid all rounder, very predictable and I like the braking performance. Yeah the sounds are nice and throaty

 

There is something seriously wrong with the new engine upgrade when I can get 60 fps with a 20 car grid on random weather conditions. Just like the guys with their NASA computers. Ok, I get the occasional stutter here and there, even a cpu related system slow down, but hey, nothing a bit TLC at Kunos end cannot fix.
So I like it.
