Yep, the sidewall flex releasing air at the rim, could be a canned event, we should probably wait to see some confirmation.

 

With the tyres I’m a bit more interested to know why going off track for a split second drops their temp massively. At Laguna Seca touching the sand instantly sends the tyre temp down to blue, same seems to happen at Silverstone with the grass, most noticeably if you cut the apex at T9 the front right tyre goes cold, don’t think the surface temps should plummet that fast.

On these tracks air temp is generally low (12 ish) and track temp is around 30

 

That's what I thought, it's just a name change is absolutely not a championship that comes under the control of SRO.

 

I think that that's the surface temperature as if you had a thermal camera or something similar. If you pick up dirt the surface can change temperature fast, the core won't even notice

I just tested that! Everything is normal here for me!

What air temp did you have? It seems to be specific to very low air temp, 10-12 degrees

Don’t believe it’s an issue there. I’m mostly seeing it in the SRO Asia esport races, they seem to like very low air temps, Silverstone test race today was 10 air and 10 track, Laguna Seca last race wasn’t much higher from memory

 

Surface temps of tires drop and rise very quickly, it's called flash temperature. Probably due to the reasonably cold conditions the tire is already at the lower edge of the operating window, hitting the grass/sand possibly cools it down fast enough for the tire telemetry to turn blue.

 

10C is quite cold in general, especially for track temp. Those sort of temps it can be easy for the tire surface to go blue on the straightaways as well. I know in a couple Bathurst races I did that were around that temp before I used to have issues with the tires getting too cold and causing excess graining. Had to weave down Conrod and Mountain straight to have enough temp to turn in for the Chase and the top of the hill.

2020 DLC releases November 18 for PC

 

Whoa, that's earlier than expected Especially because there still is the round in PR to be held only three days prior.

 

so 1.6 is probably releasing on Nov 18th.

 

I think so. In the past every DLC came along with a game update!

 

Imola is one of my favourite tracks and, alongside with Nordschleife.... (ups), is a track that I was missing from AC, so I'm anticipating great fun racing at Imola with ACC.
Plus, the 488 and AMG 2020 Evo versions with the 2020 season refreshes ACC with the current season data, which is even better.
Adding to that the improvements v1.6 will bring, definitely the 18th is a date to do some Steam shopping

does somebody know what that means?
Will that be noticeable in the FFB or what kind of ''effects'' can we expect with that?

 

what is the resolution ? I play at 4k epic and it's not like that at all ..... if only SLI or DLSS was supporte, I could try 8K with 2 rtx 3090...
