Funny thing, though I can do it properly, 3 iPhones with scan software rolling on deflated tires cart is 10x more sophisticated than we had 10 years ago… yeah, I’m looking at AC… iPhone 12 have like 3000 lidar beams on both sides of the phone. Thanks to face scanning… but the iPhone 12 Pro has it on both cameras.

Just had 417.82 MB update:

PHYSICS:
- Fixed setup fuel load test function with BOP-limited fuel tanks.
- Fixed setup UI caster rounding error (only visual).
- Fixed potentially corrupted AI setups when reloading saved game.
With existing saved games, in case the AI setup remains corrupted on reloading, it will load the safe preset.

 

At least the next one should be 1.8 which means "majorish" update!

One can only hope... Fingers crossed we dont see a 1.7.9.1

 

After 1.7.9 there still can be 1.7.10, 1.7.11, 1.7.12, 1.7.13.....

It's completely normal in software development, that there are two digit minor releases. I guess thats why he liked it.

Just a few short question since i haven't followed the changes to the game recently...
When and why was the black 'assetto corsa' screen added in the replays when clicking through the time bar?
My guess is that it's supposed to hide the loading delay of textures, correction of wheel position etc but it's extremely annoying, partially because it jumps to the new position for several frames, then shows the black screen and eventually goes back to the new position, which is noticeable.

I doubt there's a way to turn it off?

 

Mine doesn't do that, though I've seen it in the past.

May be related to your drive speed? Running off a HDD or SSD?

Thats strange. I've seen it do that to me occasionally, but not recently.

 

Since Monday's 1.7.9 update I'm getting the Fatal Error message when I try to load some of the newer tracks, Donington, Snetterton, Oulton Park Laguna Seca in particular, No problems with other tracks. I posted in the Trouble Shooting forum with my logs but haven't received a reply. Anyone know of a fix?

 

Have you tried verifying your game files?

Rightclick the game in steam, properties, local files (I think), verify something or another. Don’t have my pc at hand.

 

I'd really prefer if Kunos would improve/fix current issues before concentrating on new features.

It's absolutely disappointing that there're still users with damaged profiles (therefore missing stats and no access to special events). And it's an issue known for several month now.

And it would be great if VR functionality would be improved. It's possible to make ACC a decent VR experience by using "external" solutions (like adjusting "engine.in" or using the universal shader), but it really should be addressed ingame if ACC want's be an "state of the art" title.

And last not least: performance still is an issue. I'd rather enjoy improved performance (to be able to use better graphics seeting both in pancake an VR mode) than having more tracks.

But that's just my personal point of view. Surely not comprehensible for people not having any issues, using "monster hardware" or driving in pancake mode only.

 

I suspect they have done everything practically possible to improve VR at this point after all they have more invested emotionally, reputationally and financially in ACC's success.

 

Maybe, but there are still room for improvements in other areas. Rating, timing, UI for example

 

hey guys, I recently bought ACC and I was wonder what a good beginner car is, when I google it most posts/threads were from 2018/19 and I think they are not accurate anymore. I hope I'm not wrong in the forum here

 

Hmmm, I don't agree because then it wouldn't be possible to have such obvious improvements by adusting graphic effects outside the settings offered inside ACC.

I mean: it is possible to achieve an acceptable appearance/performance, but definitely not by using ACC "out of the box". If you're not willing to spend hours and hours in searching the internet and testing dozens and dozens of different settings you simply won't have an appropriate VR experience.
