1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Looking at the current real life Barcelona race, I have to say, that the track rubbering in ACC is completely wrong. In real life, the racing line is clean and in ACC, it's the other way around.

Anyone know if you crash in practice for example in championship mode and use the menu shortcut to return to pits, does it automatically fix the damage?
If not, do you have to drive back for that to happen or maybe it doesn't get repaired at all?

I've done this and its not obvious to me my damage was repaired, how am I to know?

If higher number is more damping, then that's backwards from common irl practice.

To be frank it's been this way since the very first days of AC and I personally always thought it looked terrible.

    Reminds me of this

I'm slowly catching up again with ACC and manage to do ~2 - 3 hours of racing per week. Thanks to the quickjoin button, I usually get a good race very quickly. Racing quality, sound and visuals, stability and the physics are top notch by now. Fixing the curb bug is a MASSIVE improvement - much more than I would have thought. Increased FFB frequency feels great for me and the UI is also neat. Scrolling dash pages and changing car parameters on the fly with the MFD works like a charm.

Last race was 45 minutes (quite long for me) around Spa. Good race, very tactical and clean, gained some unexpected positions towards the end of the race and then also lost one in penultimate lap because I spun :p The Aston is quite tricky - it changes behaviour quite drastically after ~ 35 minutes. Requires a change of brake balance, TC and also driving style. After this change of behaviour, it's best to hold back on the trail braking and in case of a late braking, better keep going straight and mess up the line than to force the car in. Seems very challenging and realistic. I really love this sim.

Oh, one funny thing happened to me, though - through Eau Rouge, close to the 2nd apex (right hand side), I felt something like an impact from another car on the right but there was no car. It bumped me to the left, a lot, like a meter or so. It happened only in 1 lap and I don't remember doing anything differently than in all the other laps. I wasn't on the curb when it happened, btw. I was on tarmac and everything felt well under control.

A replay would have been interesting. This sounds quite like you hit the curb, which are quite steep on the inside.

I was nowhere near the curb.

And since when does a curb feel like a car bumps you from the side? I know very well how a curb impact feels in ACC and how a car side impact feels. It's totally different.

Sounds like you got boinked! Seriously.. This a rare thing and I have only had this happen a couple of times however I have not had it happen since the new tyre model went live. This is an example video in one of the threads, I just have to remember which thread its in..

I haven't had this eau rouge bump happen in a long time but seeing it still happening maybe it's time to do something about it?

For me it was the Aston safe setup with 2 or 3 clicks less rear wing, brake bias some clicks to the front and 2 clicks less TC.

It also happened to me yesterday in Single Player. It was either with the Lexus or the GT-R, can't remember which since I ran races with both.

Quick Q - someone mentioned earlier about changing brake bias later in a race to accommodate tyre wear.. I'm finding brake bias adjustments to be a bit of a dark art (particularly in ACC where you have ABS and don't really lock up, at least not noticeably). As the tyres go off, what would you do to the brake bias?
