Best Graphics settings

Follow these guides to downsample. It depends on your monitor though. My 1080p monitor can reach 4k at 50hz, and 1440p at 60hz. I play at 1440p but take shots at 4k resolution.

Thanks for the info mate , I`ll have a go and see if I can do it , as I said I have never got into these settings before as I have always just run one card and never for gaming purposes before , but since I bought A/C I have changed my computer ,added 8gb more Ram and added another graphics card to get teh best performance I can for the sim , so all of this is new territory for me ....

Managed to downsample and am now running the sim at 2560x1440 @ 60Hz

1 Face ,and it seems ok although I am still getting a little jaggies and shimmer on objects , any ideas to get rid of these ?

 

Turn the AF to 16x! You're not going to get rid of all aliasing tho without bumping the res and AA up even more.

 

I`ll try that mate , what about the shimmering you see on objects ,track rails etc

 

i did run AF to x16 but it isnt the best optimised option atm. Even at 0 i didnt see much at speed. although some rumble strips fall to worse filtering than others,

i do prefer the less jaggies using the spare fps (from af) on AA.

reflections and shadows run low, but you do get a staggering reflection on car bonnets which can be a little offputting..

This was an earlier post last year..

must admit i would advise getting prepared for the AI. I took off Vsync and messed about with gfx last nite, to get around 125-130 fps.
Had to lose a bit of AA, and shadows on low, even took arms off. Time of day can make a difference anything from 5-7 fps.

Anisoptric seems to be the biggest fps waster and not be that noticeable, i put mine as low as x2. I would advise running both AA and FXAA if you can, even if it means sacrifcing a higher AA. ( seems to be a lot smoother than AA alone. I ran i think aa x4 fAA x2, (now down to 1) even looked good at both at x2. World detail, difference between max and v high, is barely noticeable , but can be a 5fps difference. Reflections hhmm not a biggie for me and run these at the lowest possible without losing them.

I did screen grabs to compare ( so not talking crap).. so hope this helps anyone...
