1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Bmw drift cars

  1. This is going to sound daft, but I have only just discovered that I can tweak the setups of the three BMW Drift cars to make them behave a bit more like the standard ones. I had left these cars alone for a long time after trying to drive them shortly after first installing AC because......well, they were prone to excessive oversteer!

"Duh, that's what they are supposed to do, n00b!", I hear you cry.

Fair enough, but drifting isn't really my cup of tea. However, I decided to test these three cars today with the alignment settings tweaked to match those of the S1 versions of the cars. They are all different to the standard versions, but for different reasons.....

The BMW Z4 Drift has 50 extra bhp, and 80 extra Nm of torque than the standard Z4.
The BMW M3 E30 Drift has considerably more power and torque than the standard versions, but is a lot nicer to drive than the Group A and DTM versions of the car.
The BMW M3 E92 Drift has the same power and torque as the standard versions, but it has a manual shifter.

The Drift version of the Z4 still has a tendency to oversteer with the tweaked alignment settings, but I can now drive it like the other versions.
The Drift version of the M3 E30 is much more stable than the Group A and DTM cars under braking and downshifting, so I can now enjoy driving a more powerful version of the car without worrying about piling it!
Discovering that I could make the Drift version of the M3 E92 behave more like the standard versions was the best surprise of all, because it means that I can now enjoy driving the car using the H shifter and clutch.

Some of you may think I am nuts, but I don't care :p

Not nuts at all Chris, I too like taking the drift versions on hill-climbs to use them as time attack cars. It's completely normal. Although the one gripe I have is the no gear ratio tweaking option on the e30 drift version, just makes tighter hill-climbs more of a hassle for my poor feet. :p

Don't forget that drift versions have locked differential, don't they?

  7. BMW M3 E30 Drift alined for track/road racing is one of the best AC cars but you setup a server with that car and people enter just to drift

E30 Drift on street 90s without any setup changes was a blast on Transfagarasan couple months ago. And I mean time attack driving, not drifting.
Thanks for reminding me of it, I need to give it a go again.

  9. Yes, the M3 E30 Drift alignment settings are a lot closer to the standard and S1 cars than the Z4 or M3 E92.

the e30 drift is a really nice toy, even with std setup.. it's like a go-kart, it turns with the throttle and almost no steering input, but it doesn't really like trail braking, as soon you step on the thr pedal it turns a lot

Been driving the E92 D as a track car for a while, with some camber adjustments. Has a faster steering ratio too. Love the manual 6-speed. Interior still shows an auto gearbox. But this poses a question:
Would you all be ok with Kunos releasing some other stock cars (such as E92, R8+, M4) as manual H cars, but not take the time to change the interior models to correspond? The drivetrain changes and slight weight/balance differences would only be simple edits. Change the driver animation as to fondle the auto-stick when shifting, and there you are. I for one would concede one piece of interior eye-candy for more manual cars.

  13. Yeah but it's impossible to drive it with 90%, you blow the engine in half a lap

  14. I generally only use the default turbo for cars that have adjustable boost pressure. What's the default boost pressure for the Z4 drift?
