1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I gave up for tonight on the car. My best time so far is a 2:02.4. I had a couple of laps that I was at least 0.6s faster on but screwed up in one place or another and ruined the lap.

I'm thinking I need to mess around with the FFB on my wheel, because it doesn't seem right or something. Too much of a boat feel . When braking I have myself in the right position and the car itself decides to drift under braking to the other side of the track (and I can't feel anything to correct in the steering). Also, the brakepoint seems to change from lap to lap with the car. In turn 1, the first time I am a little short. Next time around with the same brakepoint I totally overshoot and I'm off the track. Frustrating.

in that case with the standard setup im at 2:01 but there is easily another 2 seconds left in that, only managed a couple of clean laps :S

Turn one is difficult, it's hard to get to grips with the speed in this car, the first time I went out in it I was coming up to corners saying to myself "right this one is in third gear... Oh god no!!"

Haven't found the car drifting much once the TG tyres are on it feels pretty solid on the road.

car feels good, the speed at which it pulls even in 4th is crazy... im struggling with braking point into the first corner, be a good car/track to have a clean race on :)

Down to 1.58.9 now. Tried to 'copy' TCLFs lap for a long time, but didn't work very well for me. So i just took a few marks from his replay and combined them with my own driving style. I'm pretty sure i can get a low 1.58 at the end of the challenge, but his 1.57.3 is just insanely fast for me :).

My turn one approach is the following: i brake hard about half a second after the white pit line appears on the track. Then shift down to first gear and turn in as smooth as possible (use the breaks to turn in as Wildstyle said). Then back on the throttle early without spinning the rear tyres.

I found a way to go even faster. almost doing 56 now. throw you car in oversteer a little (10° or so). keep your wheel straight, the wings pull the car straight for you and you can go insanely early on your throttle. Still on the same set

I've set my new PB @ 2.02.3xx and instead refresh leaderboard I hit reset and I was like . After that I decided to turn off laptimer and after 3-4 laps I checked it and the best was 2.01.7xx. I think it's not my best time yet. Maybe another reset...;)

  14. 2:00.5 o_O I was on a lap that was a second faster and then I ran out of fuel

  15. LOL at cutting the fuel that close! The tires are intermediate slicks so they take a lap and a half to warm up and then you have about 4 or 5 laps at least with good grip...no need to run one and done over and over again like in the BMW last week.

  16. I had 13L, but I haven't driven AC in a while, so it took a few laps to get warmed up......I'm usually pretty close to your times (if I actually put some time into mine :p) So I just need to drive a bit more.....but this car feels like a massive boat to me.

  17. It is a massive boat...lol

The setup provided a couple pages ago feels really good, just needs more fuel.....30 liters doesn't last long in this thirsty beast....that being said, I can barely get within a half a second of my best lap (that I ran when the car debuted a couple weeks ago) I should probably erase my best lap since I ran it before this "competition"

  18. The setup feels worse to me.....(since the tires have less pressure, and thus more flex). This car really needs an "S2" version with stiffer/adjustable suspension and removed aero flap mechanisms (for more predictability).

Faster, faster! Until the fear of crashing is overcome by the thrill of speed.
