Ferrari 458 steering

How do I get the 458 to turn in better for faster turns? Seems to slide right off track at higher speeds. Thanks

 

Slower corner entry

 

Click in the wrench icon and go into the setup screen. If you hover the pointer over parts of the options it will describe what each setting does. You can get better turn in after setting up the car better.

Lower Tyre Pressures:

+ More Grip
- Less Precision
- Less Top Speed


Higher Tyre Pressures

+ Higher Top speed
+ More Precision
- Less Grip

Most importantly try not to accelerate (full throttle) or brake while in a corner.

 

also

Higher pressures=lower temps (except middle temp will be higher than Outer/inner)
Lower pressures=Higher temps (middle will be cooler than outer/inner)

 

That happens to me when speed sensitive steering is on. Make sure it's on 0.00

I just run a test with 458 s3 in AC, and the breaking points and gearing are spot on, I also did a similar laptime, 1:52:xx

Shame that the audio is out of sync, could be great comparison material.

 

s3 ac feels about right.

but i still have serious doubts about the base cars default setup.

negative camber in front max it, toe out the fronts to personal prefrence you can max it if you so desire.

rear you can do pretty much the same but if you want to the back to rotate more less camber.

the wr setups almost all max negative camber front and rear and do pretty the same to toe in different ways.

the default setups seem way to understeery for a italia in race mode on the track.

 

My advice - just drive slower in to the corners and you will not suffer from understeer
