1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I think that best solution (imo) would be something between this mod and current AC :)

...exactly what I've done (tried, at least).

Your statement lasted less than 2 minutes...
    P.S.
Feel is subjective, physics are not. A side force curve remaining flat at peak value for more than 10degrees of side slip angle can't be real, the same apply for tires decelerating at full gas in curve, braking forces rising with longitudinal slip after the first peak and so on...

So I have to admit I see big improvemant in 0.4 . 458 is much more fluent on drifting/sliding and way more fun for me .
    Good Job Aris !
I have to say yesterday I also found a working solution for me by doing FPS cap to 60 and turning on Fullscreen Rendering - with V sync off .
There is clearly some kind of "lag" visual and in FFB which couse car with driver feeling of disconection . After I fixed that I started to doing much better results in smooth drifting 458 . 0.4 Improves some physics and it is even better !

Happy Holidays Aris and Co. !

P.S. In achievemant "it might do it" even skin fits (red + black roof :) ) but doing there 50K + will be a huge mission to do :)

Did you use V-synch before? Don't! Never use it with any racing sim.... it's known for causing visual lag.

Wouldn't want to use it for FPS neither.

Best grafical setup for me in AC: 60fps locked, no vsynch, and other settings aimed at no frame drops below 60. If it keeps running a smooth 60, it's great. If you drop down to 48 at some places like Monza, the car becomes horrible to drive...

The problem is I have as monitor TV with 60hz refresh rate , after I turned off V sync I have stable 59.999 FPS with 60FPS cap but screen is tearing , sometimes I see frames jumping around in the middle of screen which pisses me off alot ,with V sync I have no such issue at all. Any ideas how to avoid my issue without V Sync ?

I have no issues at all with having game smooth , just without V sync there is something weird on my monitor / TV which distracts me alot ! I been trying d3d and other 3rd party programs but nothing works

I been testing 458 alot last couple of days , after installing 0.4 I spotted difference instantly then after doing 10 laps Im completly sure about that . Drifting is much more fluent/smooth in 458 . Dont have a single doubt in this matter .

Oh ok, I only tried new cars. Could be a lot of fun but didn't impress me because of this physics flaw. :(

  12. He's talking about subjectivity / objectivity, that's what I want proof :)

Each tire is a different world, and I doubt you have seen many tire tests at > 20 degrees of slip angle.

The first statement was related to the tire files of the Nsx mod (easily accessible with a simple notepad click).

For the second one I already posted a picture from the AC tire app in another topic.

  14. I mean this: "A side force curve remaining flat at peak value for more than 10degrees of side slip angle can't be real". I would like to have proof on that, especially since you said that "physics aren't subjective".

About the 2nd sentence I thought you were talking about the NSX as well.

As I already said you can open the .tbc file in the NSX mod and check by yourself how the lateral grip vs slip is modeled.

For the second one I was talking about AC.

  16. You are not replying to my question. I have never asked anything about the NSX files, only about this single sentence:

A side force curve remaining flat at peak value for more than 10degrees of side slip angle can't be real

  17. Avoletta

    Avoletta Simracer

The sentence is just the description of the Nsx tire model and in 15 years of automotive engineering I've never seen anything like that (but if such a tire does exist please send me some references so I can install it on my car :p).
