1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

In-race settings adjustments

    Hi,

I am trying to design a wheel to use with Assetto Corsa (I guess and other games too). I want the wheel to have the ability to make adjustments during a race but I can't find any sort of list of settings which can be adjusted during a race, practice, qualify etc.

I know about break balance but that's about it. Any info any AC veterans can offer would be appreciated as I basically need my wheel to control all possibilities including setting up for a pit-stop. I know that some cars won't allow the same number of setting changes as other cars so would be great to cater for all.

On a side-note, can you assign other changes like FOV and FFB and more 'game' settings during a race?

In other words - "WHAT DO I PUT ON THE WHEEL"?????????? LOL.

    Thanks so much guys,
    Andrew.

Buttons I have bound on my wheel:

    Change view
    Look left / right
Look over left / right shoulders (need real head motion app for these controls)
    Look behind
    Horn
    Lights
    Driver names on / off
    Brake balance plus / minus
    Handbrake

Adjusting FFB is done with numpad plus and minus and doesn't need to be on the wheel imo.
And FOV changing whilst driving is a big no no, takes time to get used to different FOV so you set it once globally to a value you are confortable with and don't change it - especially DURING a race lol!

Depending what you drive you also may want buttons for KERS / P2P and or turbo boost plus / minus.

Look behind! Why not just press left and right together? Other than that I have all the same buttons except I have a mic button.

Oh yeah knew I forgot one, yes I also have a button bound for mic transmit.

Pressing left and right on the dpad on my wheel at the same time unfortunately is not possible ;) so I have to have a separate button for look behind.

Of course some of the mentioned things require (free software) JoyToKey to bind the wheel button to a keyboard press.

Ignoring the shifters, I have 10 extra buttons on the Fanatec GT3 RS and it's barely enough for the Formula Hybrid.

    brake balance up
    brake balance down
    regen up
    regen down
    manual kers
    drs
    toggle mgu-k modes
    mgu-h recovery up
    mgu-h recovery down
    change view

Plus navigating the horrible menus in F1 2017.

I use two tablets one as a personalised dashboard (Dashmeterpro) and one as a button box (roccat). So have the basic stuff that is needed all the time on the six buttons on the wheel and the rest on the tablet.
