1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Look-to-apex !! we need this implemented

Your logic is flawed. Skin packs and colors are not a missed features in the game...

Every car has colors/skins and even if some have very few they do have them. This feature is missing completely, it's on much higher level of importance than paint jobs.

That's why you post it in the suggestions section, not chit chat where the crap belongs.

God, I hate it when people start using the word 'need' so fast. But then again, I'm only a fanboy who doesn't want to see improvement :)

It would also be great to have a new watch for getting pole, a bottle of Champers for winning. Obviously there would need to be a slider for how much of these things we need. So the watch could start at Casio and work up to Rolex, the Champagne could go from Asti Spumante to Brut. Look to apex would be good for those that want it, but to some of us it is an anathema. Still it is worthy of an on/off button or slider approach for those that require it. :)

"I dont want it so we dont need it"

Might come as a total chock for some people here on the forum but you werent the only one that bought a copy of the game and you arent the only one that are allowed to say what could be improved. This isnt just a post for this specific thread but if you have read more then a couple of threads here on the forum you know what im talking about.

I used to play only with look to apex in Shift2 unleashed. Although it is not bad to have an option and you can get used.
I have no idea how well it may be on PC but I tried "AC real head" app and now. It feels odd when sometimes it doesn't match my intention to look at apex. Rather it is something you adapt to.

I am using a dual screen setup with low FOV and do feel the need of looking at corners. For that I just ordered a Microsoft webcam for use in Freetrack application. If it works I hope it will be my preferred solution till I get my hands on oculus rift consumer version. If you know of any DIY Freetrack guide directly relating it to confirm its working in Assetto Corsa, please share a link to that.

I don't see anything on Race Department. Does anyone have a suggestion where I could try one of these 3rd party Look to Apex apps?

One piece of advice from me ( my subjective view ). Driving a sim the only things that give you feedback is your eyes, your arms and your ears. The biggest part of the feedback of the car is the g-forces which are missing. So every feedback you can get from the game you should maximize it to suit you. Personally i drive with low fov 40 on 21 inch monitor (tbh i don't NEED more, but a bigger one will make me feel better or triple screen, but thats what i have for now) and my inside cam is like locked to chassis, no movement in any direction. This way you get extreme feedback of every movement of the car (yes, you lose some immersion, but you get something for that) and i don't have any problem hitting the apex after 4-5 laps of warming up. In real life things are different you move your head and eyes to the apex and look a head, but your body is inside and it "feels" the car where is it and where is it going. It depends on you, do you use the sim for a tool and some fun, or you use it for immersion and "real-life" simulation and subjectively more fun.

You can make your own headtracking for around $5. It really ads to the immersion in the game and I can't play without it now.
