1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic PS4 Boost makes Assetto run at 60FPS

If the frame rate would get a bump up, then surly 900p is the way to go. P Cars runs at 900p on xbox and looks better than assetto does.

Hmm... Just bought a tv that's 4K and HDR, now I'm wondering if I should get PS4 pro or PSVR first. I think maybe go pro, is the frame rate really that much better?

go on euro gamer and look at test results. I do believe though if you use boost you cant get 4k.

Search for "Digital Foundry Assetto Corsa PS4 Pro Boost" on YouTube. The Vid says all ....

I watched the video...good stuff for PS4 Pro users. I can understand how XBOX One and Non-Pro PS4 users are pissed off. I'm so sensible towards stutter that I couldn't play the game unless it ran at rock solid VSYNC 60...I see the stutter in AC even in that YT video.

This won't change, though - it's the new name of the game. Consoles have adopted the downsides of PCs where the user needs to worry about background processes, operating modes, what hard drive to use and basically the same console gets re-released with better hardware. Add online fees to the story and I'd say all of the previous console advantages have vanished.
And as the video clearly shows it's not only AC where it happens. Weren't there people here who kept repeating how pCars ran smoothly at 60 FPS on standard XBox One and PS4?!? Rubbish.
So the people that are rightfully frustrated by all this really should start hating the game and not the player.

If console gamers really can't live with the situation as it stands now the only way to avoid is is to get a PC. If someone upgrades now to a PS4 Pro they will have spent enough money to buy a decent 2nd hand gaming PC well capable of running AC in 1080p at stable 60.

There really is little point in buying anything other than a PS4 Pro now when it comes to Sony Console line up!

I really have little idea about gaming PC's but is it possible to build something for similar money (£350) that does the same job?

Just interested to know not looking for a flame war!

Also no hate at all from my side!!! I'm really just observing and I think it's a shame that the benefits of consoles are gone. The only difference to PC now is that you usually put the console in the living room and attach it to the TV...the simplicity and ease of use is gone :-(

If you buy a 2nd hand MoBo/RAM/CPU combo with an i5 2500k (like mine), a cheap case, a decent PSU and an AMD RX480 or GTX970 you'll be at ~450 €. It will play AC with better GFX than the consoles at steady 60, all the time.

From a users point of view the easy of use and simplicity hasn't changed, you still just plug the thing into the TV, switch it on and it just works, patched games take advantage of the extra grunt without having to do anything, boost mode is just a check box that needs to be ticked in an options screen...

The only problem I have had with PS4 is the sound output when watching movies, it took a little figuring out how to get the thing to output in 5.1

True. And when devs put these machines to work, you get great graphics and solid performance as well.

boost mode rocks. The medals come in easily.

More serious: I really think AC runs smoother. Loading times faster but not a major leap. Just had a couple of trials @nordschleife and no slightest hick up or whatever anymore. Is it because of higher and more stable framerate that it is more comfortable for your eyes. Less lazy eyes? Can also be another placebo effect for me?

Rock solid 60fps even with full grids and chaos at the start. Menus definitely snappier and loading times shorter.

Very pleased. But a proper Pro patch would still be preferable to improve image quality and effects.
