1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

PS4 same class opponents do not quite match with your car

Hi guys! My first post here, actually! I'm glad to be in this forum and to play Assetto Corsa, a great simulator, which i acquired about 4 weeks ago. I'm having a lot of fun with it!

I'm the type of player that enjoys mostly vintage racing, and because of that, the Porsche Pack was one of the reasons i bought the game, since it has some of the best racing cars in history.

My favourite car ever though is the Ford GT40. I always loved that car, ever since childhood, so i was very hyped to race the GT40 against the Porsche 908, to recreate that legendary 24h Le Mans 1969.

But i can't do it because the opponents for the Gt40 are only the Miura, Ferrari F40, Shelby Cobra and strangely, the Porsche 935 "Moby Dick", wich is a car far too fast for the remaining cars on the field. For the 908, the list is: Ferrari f40 stage 3, Porsche 917k and Mclaren F1 GTR (the 908 is way out of the league of this last two)

Why is that? the 908 should definitely be in the same class as the GT40, but instead, both cars have for rivals cars that quite don't match their own performe. This happens with other cars, like the Alfa Romeo GTA,the Abarth, etc. With others the selection is perfectly fine, specially with the GT3 class.

This is something that i think should be revised and fixed in the future. It would be awsome though to have the possibily to singularly pick every opponent to race against :)

What do you think? Is it something you guys wish to see it fixed or you don't care at all?

There are definitely some odd ball car combinations in the current server list. Fortunately, private lobbies are just around the corner, and we have confirmation that we will be able to create our own car & track combinations. I'm looking forward to combinations like you just listed, as well as more multi-class racing!

There definitely needs to be a balance of performance applied to just about every class. Some cars will just run off and leave everything else in it's class. In GT4 the Lotus cars are by far the strongest. A sliding scale of AI strength percentage would help it if they aren't going to do an overall BOP adjustment.

The selection isn´t fine in the GT3 class. There are GT2/GTE/GTLM cars racing against GT3 cars...

Agreed with all the comments above. The car list simply wasn't built around rivals, competitors from the same championship/series. Racing gets unbalanced and unrealistic, simply because there aren't many cars meant to compete against each other.
The BPR series? One proper model ('95 F1 GTR) put against one road car (F40 S3) and a propotype from '98 FIA GT championship, which should be put against a long-tail F1 or a CLK (if only they were in the game).
Same thing for the GT3 class, as HWA said. Some new models, some old, mixed with GT2/GTLM propotypes, which are a step above.
The GT4 field has only two actual models: the '09 Lotus 2-Eleven and the more recent MC GT4. The other cars you see on the track weren't built for GT4-spec racing.
And this isn't just about race cars. Even the road cars fields are unbalanced: Escort vs 595? 4C vs tuned Supras and RX-7s? Exige vs a bunch of quicker supercars? All unbalanced.
Wonder if the MC12 GT1 will be put against the Zonda R and the 599XX, seems likely to me as there are no other GT1 cars currently in the game and/or announced for the future.
The only viable solution right now would be letting us choose the opponents, even if It won't solve the (bigger) problem: the lack of content.
