Just a minor niggle to report:
The responsible party forgot to put:

in the \ks_laguna_seca\ui\ui-track.json file.

So, if you're using Content Manager, for example, and you open the Track Selector in Drive > Quick mode - if you select Categories > Kunos, so you can choose among only Kunos tracks, Laguna Seca will not be in the list. You can fix it in seconds in Content Manager, of course, by going to Content > Tracks > Laguna Seca - click the ? in the field for Author and enter "Kunos". That's it. You can add a version number and URL if you want, but it's not necessary to fix the problem.

 

Why did some of the challenges get re-balanced?, didn't see it in the change log. Didn't think there was anything wrong with them, was getting close to getting Unusual sounds on a 1:48.7 and now gold is 1:51.0. That's a leisurely drive around there really...

 

Far too many challenges are now a beyond casual drive. Is there any reason behind it?

 

Too many are very easy now.

But speaking about the Unusual Sounds, only aliens made gold with a time lower than 1:48. You can see on RSR page that just a few had time to do this challenge. I made 1:48:5 before and I just cant see where I can improve this time.

 

You only need a good setup. The one that shared a base setup was simply garbage for this special event.

 

So what’s wrong with that? There are three levels of achievement, gold needs to be hard. If you aren’t willing to improve to get gold then you don’t deserve it. I wasn’t there yet but was looking forward to the moment I saw that sweet notification of getting it as I crossed the line, now that’s gone
As long as it was possible which it certainly was there’s no issue.

 

I did gold on so many special events, like Supra at Vallelunga classic, which is a really challenge. This unusual soundsone is just unbalanced, specially considering the temperature, the tyres heat easily and go red.

 

The new Lamborghinis are some of the best I've driven, very impressed with these cars...I've been a Lambo fan for years, so I suppose this is a dream come true...can't understand a man who doesn't like cars that were preceded by tractors

 

True that it was one of the harder ones, but again, what’s wrong with that?

 

It is a problem if someone do so many golds on other special events and cant do on this one.

It have to be challenge, but not for only the aliens and professional drivers. Assetto Corsa is still a game, and achievements is more important for the gamers.

 

I get what you are saying but have to respectfully disagree. GT/Forza is a game, AC is a sim. I personally hate the kindergarden thinking of “everyone’s a winner” sorry kids, some of you will be cleaning toilets for a living...

If it absolutely needed to be made easier then a second at best but 3 seconds? It’s pointless now

 

You are take too serious the achievements. They are not for the professional racers and for who are looking to win racing leagues. They are for the gamers.

Dark Souls dont have a "Beat the game without level up your characther".

The hardcores makes proper challenges, the gamers will look for trophys on Steam, PSN and Live personal pages.

If you are looking for harder challenges, better search a league on your country and race with best local drivers.

 

Most of them were not too hard, but it's nice to have some that are incredible difficult ones. I guess you got to blame the community for it.

 

I do race in two leagues, and do OK, certainly not the fastest but decent enough.

Certainly even the gamers want to achieve the trophy and not just get given it for participation though? Current time is FAR to easy. 1:49.0 would have been fair in normal challenge difficulty terms

 

I prefer the same difficulty.

Some special events I did on the first lap I tried that car on that track, like, for example, 288 GTO at Imola.

Others I just drive a entire day to acomplishment.

And others, weeks and didnt take.

There is not point for doing this. It is like do a Street Fighter 2 entire on normal difficult and on final fight, came a overpower Akuma and frustrating 99% of the gamers that cant beat him. It is good for the 1% good player, so, they put on secret, only for the players that dont lost any single round and wants a better challenge. But it is a secret, nobody needs to know that. You dont remove the sense of acomplishment for the good players and you give a harder challenge for the better gamers.

 

hmm... like the special events, learned a lot there - changing the times this way is just....meh....

 

Just tried the 488 GTB with slicks and Fast track grip to beat Randy Pobst's lap of 1:31:68...HARD! But OMG does the car do exactly what he says it does IRL! Earlier braking than one expects, short gearing...pushes in turns 4 and 5...mid-corner understeer...nose is somewhat benign...just awed at the accuracy of Kunos' physics...I have found new love for this sim!

 

The Sesto on Nords is a pita!
