1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Doing some quick price comparisons... Track IR is actually more expensive than VR in the US lol. So, that statement isnt all that accurate in 2018 anymore :p

    What VR are you looking at?
    Amazon has the Oculus Rift for $399 (not to mention any PC upgrades you might need) & the Track IR for $149.

    You can even buy a $30 web cam and make your own head tracker with a google search and free software.

    But I already own TiR and have for years and years. I have no interest in VR, so if TiR is not supported at LAUNCH, I'm simply not spending another dime on anything Assetto Corsa again.

    Moreover .... if you wear glasses ( like surely +- 40% of the population ) .... you may nearly forget VR.
    Because of course they forgot to take them into account. !

    TrackIR + a good not too expensive monitor ( and not necessarily a big one ) ... will surely give a better quality result than the actual VR one .... for +- the same price.

    I must admit VR will get better within a few years and surely sooner ... hoping, that time, they will think of players wearing view glasses.

    It can't be much of a leap with VR now implemented. It is just the same 6 DOF virual camera just not in VR mode...! Still early access so we'll test it.

    There's been a ton of sales for Lenovo's Explorer WMR headset for $99 or less in the past few months. So given that, VR is cheaper than Track IR if you get a headset on sale.

    There’s many reasons to want other head tracking methods other than VR. Price is not always the issue. Trust me take it from someone who has both ;)

    I'm also quite confused regarding the official line... will it defiantly be in at some point or are they saying it may well never be in? If that is the case it'll be very disappointing.

    The reply we had (and still have) was that for sure TrackIR would not be supported in day one of EA (R1), there aren't any assurances that TrackIR will be supported in the following builds after (R2, R3, R4, R5 or R6), nor there are certains about TrackIR support with the full release.

    same ..i f i new this there is no way i would have got this..hope thay change there mind so i can play the game i payed money for..otherwise its trash..and i cant play it..sounds sad but its the truth,,,,I NEED TRACKIR

    While I’ve been watching and supporting this topic, quotes like the one such above is not recommended. I understand those frustrated by game breaking features but at the same time don’t feel quotes like this will help our arguement. These devs (and playerbase) have a very strong passion for this game and this will just discourage and not allow them to take you seriously. Instead explain in more detail why it’s so important to have these features earlier in the devolpment.

    Hope you understand where i am coming from...

    I don't think at all it would discourage them in any way. Kunos knows how to put the SDK in for TrackIR in ACC. It's already in AC, and much of that code is obviously going to be shared. They didn't just write another game doing a lot of the same thing from scratch. Priorities, etc.... I, as much as anyone would love to scream at the screen until we can look anywhere except out the front windscreen, but it's not gonna happen until it happens.

    Can't possibly mention this though without stating again that with head-tracking installed (that you use for many other games), even if it isn't running, there is no way to look out to the sides or behind in ACC. Multiplayer is coming up, and there is no way to play that safely without being able to do so. No amount of red arrows tells you how close the guy next to you is, or when they brake in relation to you in a corner...
