Video supercardriver p1 v laferrari v 918 spyder, vs asseto times

Great video.
Never thought that the 918 was so better on braking.
The P1 seems more reactive in the fast corners, however it's quite strange that in the other video, at Silverstone National with only Copse corner and the 2 (not so long) straights as a theoretical advantage, the P1 is slightly faster though the slow corners Brooklands, Luffield and short Becketts that should be a good advantage for the 918.
It looks that amongst the 3 hypercars, the 918 is the one that give more confidence to the driver, it's the less intimidating and the easiest to drive to the limit, and eventually this makes it the fastest.

 

It's also the heaviest by some margin. I note that the power is slightly less than the other two, but the torque is through the roof!

The Mclaren P1 GTR in real life just did a 1:50:21 at Barcelona GP layout. This car uses slick tyres according to wiki.

I did a 1:53:754 with P1 (not p1 gtr cause not in game yet) in two laps, at the same track, using optimum surface grip, and with hypercar trofeo tyres, which are slick too? I don't think our lap times are unrealistic compared to what these cars can do in the game, but maybe an alien or even a high skilled driver in a sim racing game can push more the car than a skilled race driver in real life.

But which times top drivers in AC do with the Mclaren P1 on optimum and trofeo tyres at Barcelona GP? RSR ranks aren't showing anything. @William Levesque @Kristaps

 

I'll give it a go tomorrow.

Keep in mind however that the P1 GTR has A LOT more downforce and a bit more power, and it's much lighter. It's a racecar really, no creature comfort, it's 100% made for the track. It should be much, much faster.

 

All different tyres, the comparisons dont mean ****.

With regards to the game, well, its a videogame.

 

from how kunos described it some time back i dont think optimum should be the baseline for comparing to real world times.

 

and a sim, wanting in-game, real world cars & tracks to closely resemble the real world experience is a pretty basic & significant thing..

doesnt mean anything, I can adjust grip of a car, or tyres, or track, of any arcade or sim to achieve realiatic laptimes.

 

thats a very basic logical fallacy, just because its possible to adjust an arcade racer so that lap times are equivalent to real life does not mean having comparable lap times on laserscanned tracks with official cars is not significant.
