What should I do if kick/ban-VOTE-message appears?

I just tried multiplayer with new version and suddenly the new VOTE-message appeared on my screen. What should I do in such a situation? How should I know if the kick/ban is justified or if someone is just trying out the new feature of (even worse) if someone is going to terrorize the race by kicking persons out for fun?

And aside from that I don't have the time to make such suggestions when I have to concentrate on my own racing. I think kick/ban would only make sense for a referee.

Is there an automatic kick/ban yet if someone races the wrong way round or stops the car in the middle of the track? This would make the most sense...

 

I think you need to use your best judgement. If you have directly been involved in an incident, witnessed bad behaviour or chat reveals an obvious troll. This should be the only time you should really vote when a player has been nominated.

with chats enabled, usually the guy initiating the vote will chat message the entire grid " Haxor-Rammor is driving backwards, trying to hit folks, please vote to kick" then U just decide if it's genuine or not, hopefully if the malcontent has been doing this, several people witness the incidents and then it's enough to kick

I like the general idea, but I also see a wide potential for abuse, so let's see how it goes.

Hopefully you can re-map Y or N to a button on the wheel/shifter so it's easier to vote while still maintaining a safe line, or so you don't have to pull over to vote.

 

I think it's a lot easier if people driving the wrong way, driving very slowly, stopped, spending a long time off track or extreme corner cutting are just auto kicked.

Hopefully Kunos are working on this type of auto grief detection.

 

I agree with Mogster. I think it would be more efficient auto kicks to pre-defined situations: wrong way, stand in stretches of the track for a specified period, setting a maximum time to complete lap 1, and so on.

 

I discovered earlier that a 1 warning then kick is now in effect for wrong way drivers. I was on a pub server, racing Vellalunga. Turn 3, got side swiped and ended up on my roof down a slip road. Whilst driving back up the slip road I had the no entry, wrong way sign on screen. I never made it all the way up the slip road, I was teleported back to the pits and had a warning that a 2nd infraction would lead to me being auto kicked. At least this is a step in the right direction.

I would like, as a server admin to have some console/command line function for kicking undesirables. Also the ability to auto kick anyone with a sustained ping higher than a threshold I set in the server_cfg.ini.
