1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

~.185 for the most part. Got a large boost (almost .1sec) by keeping Stop pressed and releasing.

26sec! But I'm stoned and didn't understand the instructions. :D

Proper attempt gave 0.65, but that was on tablet. Have to try again when I fire up the simrig.

Quite interesting test this. Thanks for sharing.

  8. Okay did a legit test.... 0.28 something was my best with a full click (and it seems like some lag as well -internet connection maybe-). Tried the hold-stop technique and nudged 0.24.

Don't blame the tools. :D But yeah it could be lag, it isn't accurate by any means.

In any case it's good to have fast reaction, but only the reaction you make is what matter. :D If a car spins out in front of you doesn't matter if you reaction is 0.1 or 0.5, if you react poorly you are going to crash.

So far tried 10 times ... I though fps shooters would prepare me better for this :)
    0.228 with proper clicking
    0.214 with holding and releasing

it is so much mouse depending

While very fun to do, this means nothing like others have said. Adding the lag of monitors, space in refresh rate of said monitor, response from website to computer then back to website, response time of mouse, time between mouse and motherboard. These all add up and depending on equipment, luck, and connection you can change the time significantly. Yes it is only in the ms but considering reaction times are below 1 sec it does make a difference. But you should get a general idea of reaction times, try the ruler trick to see the most accurate representation.
Btw to those who don't know... The reaction times of drag racers are good, but nothing ridiculous, drag racers guess on the "Christmas tree" lights and actually start to go on the last yellow light allowing for .1 reaction times in races.

My best reaction was 0.112 but I think was a lucky time. I use to do around 0.3xx ;-)

Yea. I imagine its like counting to three aloud and clapping when you say "three" at the same time. Kinda like that. There is actually no guessing on the green light at all.

I didn't get into it that much but its even easier than that. When pulling up to the starting point the car must activate staging, pre-stage and stage whch are spread apart by a few inches. When pulling up pre-stage activates and tells you that you need to go as slow as possible to activate stage without passing stage 1. With both activated the car has some room to move (a few inches) without penalty so when the start is happening and the last yellow shows, you can actually start without causing a false start.

.280-.300 on average, using a sketchy laptop pad. Best was .268 but that was the only one below .280.

I've done a similar test on my real PC in the past and was closer to .250 average, so either I'm off today or equipment does matter somewhat. (Could be off today, I stayed up to watch the F1 race and only got 3.5 hours of sleep. :D)
