1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

A little help driving without traction and stability control

    As i said, not dorifto, controlled powerslide. You don't need huge lock to lock inputs for that... maybe my non native english is not good at explaining it properly :oops:. Caman Ducky, why would I tell him to do anything hard for a basic exercise. Don't worry though, as I stated above I shall make another vid to satisfy your pleasure. This time with fraps and not shadowplay so can record the launcher as well before I set off to show my assists, which are always on factory factory off, as that's what I recommend everyone to use every single time because you can turn down TC and ABS as per your comfort zone as you get familiar with the car but SC always stays off.

    EDIT - Just realized, maybe it's the track grip level that is the culprit here, Because I always drift on 86% grip level... That could be something to do with it. \o/
     
  2. Oh man I took out the RUF AWD a week ago and originally thought that it sucked and had terrible braking and cornering.... Then I realized that the thing was just accelerating so fast that I was attempting cornering and 140MPH!! haha that thing is one hell of a ride, very fun! The yellow bird is very hard to drive I'll have to try that one again. Not going to have much time to play today. Leaving for a six day vacation and I'm actually kind of sad I won't get to play for that time. I've put 70 hours in the game in the last three weeks with a full time job and a girlfriend. I'd say I'm addicted! I'll probably take an extra day off work so I can have an entire day to play when I come back.

    Heh, I barely dedicate any time to AC, just use it for the occasional 'ring lapping and still ended up logging in 700 odd hours with the most casual usage scenario. Time does fly quite easily as long as you are enjoying yourself I guess. Enjoy your vacation! :p

  4. Everyone does that with the RUF RT12 :p Enjoy your vacation. A break from AC will make it that much more enjoyable when you get back. And when you get back, a massive update to the sim will have occurred. Big tire model updates :D

  10. So I just got home from vacation a couple minutes ago. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD this new tire model is INCREDIBLE! Feels like a completely different game and right off the bat I'm understanding the cars need much better now. What's with the reverb though? Not sure if I'm liking it or not. Also, the Corvette C7 Stingray is a very fun car. I've never really liked Mustangs so that one is just meh to me. I'm also enjoying the graphical improvements and the new Black Cat map. About time we had a street/canyon map. Oh, and I saw a sign while driving on that map that says there is a Japanese car pack coming out May 18th. Now THAT is my cup of tea.

    @Seria17hri11er as usual thank you for your awesome posts. I wish there was a way to give you gold (as in reddit gold).

  12. I'm not seeing any options in that app for reverb. It literally sounds like I'm driving in a tunnel/cave, but they did such a good job with this update that I have no right to complain about it! ;)

    It is very good isn't it? I've barely been able to drive it myself. Since it's came out, every time I sit down to drive, I get interrupted by my wonderful kiddos after about 10 minutes :rolleyes:.

    I too really like the Stingray. I'm working on repaints for it now. Mustang, it may grow on me. Japanese car pack? Yea! See my sig.

    As for the reverb, quite a few people are feeling the same way. It will probably get tweaked soon enough ;)
     
  14. What's wrong with the reverb? I don't recall noticing any sound problems during my testing over the past couple of days.
     
  15. By the way Ravage, try turning off "Enhanced Understeer Effect." See what it feels like without it in 1.5.
     
  16. To me, it's just way over done in some places. It's such a wet reverb and I don't think it's that realistic to hear it like that in the cockpit.

    Thanks I'll test that out! I actually have been running 35% dampening for a while now because I need some weight on the wheel when stopped. 100% dampening is just crazy though. Way too much!
