actually iracing its the bmw thats OP as well. thats been widely condemned as a cynical sales move (by myself included), but if AC is doing it based on real data, i'm thinking they both just have newer data for the z4 than for the mclaren. which is why i hope we see the macca updated b/c in the real world, its very much the other way around right now.

 

Well.. Two more weeks waiting for some major changes so I can play AC again...

 

I'll try the BMW now but I doubt they'd make the BMW faster. It's more like less slow. Mclaren was well faster and we all know that.

Sorry but no. U havent driven the z4 gt3 at the limit. to get very fast times with the mclaren u need a very unstable setup which is worthless in a race. the z4 gt3 was faster and easier to drive, now OP

 

For me the Mclaren was far easier to drive but the Z4 was faster...I will test later, for now I am so underwhelmed with this update that I currently don't even bother to care.

I have friends that will not even bother with AC for the next few weeks simply because of the near impossibility of getting a pick-up MP race...I had less than 10 MP races last week even with being friends with two groups that run fairly regularly and participating in the RD club events....I am used to racing that many in a day.

Can you give me a reference which times you mean with BMW on a certain track ?
Monza as example: Most good driver i meet are driving a 1:49:xxx time with BMW.
With MP4 its also possible to reach 1:49:xxx as normal good driver.
If you mean limit, i guess you drive 1:47:xxx times ?

The MP4 GT3 is so edgy at the limit that for me it just doesn't have the speed of the Z4 in a stable race trim. Both BMW's give me better feedback at the limit and just seem to be more comfortable all around. Now the Z4 gets faster... I thought the balance was pretty good to begin with...

 

How soon do you think we will see the first mod car released? Not necessarily the first quality car, but first out of the gate? I'd wager by tuesday.

 

Supposedly you can make a folder for the template car and use it right now.

I just tweeted something to that effect to Aris and he said to have some more patience, it is being worked on.

 

Interesting choice by Devs, making the already fast Z4 gt3 even faster, maybe Aris can give as some answers
On the Ring for example Z4 can easly be driven with 0/0, 0/1 wings, where the Mac is already super sketchy with 0/3 wings

Even kunos admit mcl was much faster...

 

Verifying the cache will check all the game files and re-download the files that aren't original and replace them.

An update only downloads new files and adds them, or replaces old files with newer files from the update. Everything else (like a texture that isn't changed) is untouched.

 

an example, both cars can get almost equal times in quali but the mclaren needs a very unstable setup with almost no wing to achieve that. Next will be the race where the mclaren needs much higher wing to be stable. will u choose a car which is only fast in quali and slow in race or a car which is fast in both? dont forgot that 1 overcorrecting with the mclaren means game over
