If anything with this car I think I prefer a little under steer, but the car will slide in a balance when I get it right. I should say my laptimes are more typically in the 42s...I just seem to be on it tonight. Other days I'm nowhere! Odd!

an understeer car is slower than a oversteer

 

Well, it just got me 1:41.540. I always feel I loose too much with an oversteer mid corner, I'm hanging off the throttle waiting for the car to calm down. With just a touch of under steer I feel I can push the car through the corner and keep higher mid corner speed. As you say, different strokes!

Just managed a 1:42:500 so shaved off half a second with your setup Paul. Much different to Daves (my previous fastest), so will take a few more laps to get used to. Car however does not feel as stable. Will be interesting to see when we get full scale GP's how much each of these setups affects tyre wear.

 

not much, because it's the compound that can last a whole race of 50 laps (I got my 250km achievement because of that). at the end you might have some drop off, but not that much

 

@ROCKET, good stuff mate. Given the size of the improvement, it sounds like you definitely have more time to find, which is encouraging.

I also have reservations, for a few reasons, about its suitability as a race setup, but it seems to deliver good times.

what is the top speed is those full wing setups?

 

I got 262 kph at Nurb on the straight before the chicane with this setup.

 

maybe a little low for race

 

And here we go, it's out, any ideas for that practice day?

 

It's safe to say I will be on all night so make sure you add me on steam. Providing all is well, we will be scheduling the races for this Sunday. Looking forward to this

 

I was disapointed about verry little formula servers but now that i found this thread when i get home il register and hopefully wecan race some lotus exos. Cant wait

 

i have dedi server working on my machine , hopfully i will get to do some races tonight,

 

Any tips on getting a dedi to work dave...I have followed the official tutorial but still get constant failed to regester on lobby

 

i wont lie m8, it took me a while, and i was sure i had done it right, but still it never worked, then all off a sudden it worked on its own.........i was getting a error says invalid server, connection to lobby failed,
the only thing i did was go in game and come out again and 5 mins later it worked....

shall we do a 20 lap race test tomorrow? I can setup the server and all. I didn't even know this one was going on :I
