1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Finally a Nords WR (sort of)

After about a two weeks of learning the track I've finally got a WR time on Nords. (I crashed a lot trying to get this time).

Sort of anyway, it's a WR if you filter out non-pro laps and people not using the right gear shifter. (Cheaters! :) )

Car was an Alfa 155, default setup apart from a lower fuel load (13l seemed the minimum I could get away with).

    Thanks.

I say go for it, game on etc.

If it's a pro lap with the proper h-shifter and manual clutch it's a fair competition.

My time is definitely beatable as it wasn't the world's cleanest lap.

Best I can do for now.

7:21 is very good!! I just gave it a try and also with H shifter (of course) all assists off, SC 0%, MD 100% and tire wear/blankets on --> 7:31
Maybe after some extra practicing with this car 7:25 is doable but 7:21....hat off!

I'm on a PS4 so not possible to submit in RSR :(

    Also fun is this one:

I am very happy with my 12:22 but @Fab85 pushed out a 12:21 and is the leader of the Abarth 595SS pack

I tried a couple of laps more and got to save 3 seconds more.

I recorded the lap and uploaded to youtube if you want to watch it, maybe you can find where to save time and improve your time even more.

Thanks Daniel, I'll have a look.

A nice consolation after only holding the WR for about an hour :)

I knew when I did that lap there were lots of places I wasn't maxing out the car, will be interesting to see your approach

Btw you think medium tyres are best here? I was on softs.

I don't know very much about car setups.

I watched the lap and I'm surprised that my racing lines, braking points and gears are more or less the same, apart from some corners towards the end which I haven't mastered yet.

Mainly I think it's just that I'm not doing it all as cleanly and I'm not carrying as much momentum round the corners.

Interesting that I'm losing about 15 seconds just by being a bit messy and not having a couple of corners towards the end worked out well enough.

Softer tyres might make some difference but I'm guessing not much.

I have not tried softs but medium tyres are at good temperature the whole lap with a temperature of 26°C. Soft tyres will possibly overheat, you will be faster at the first sector but you will suffer at the 2nd and 3th sector.

For the setup I changed this:
    Rear wing at 1
    Gearing 2 ticks up
Left tyres preassure 2 ticks lower
Rear Bump dampers one tick stiffer
    Rear springs 2 ticks softer
Front and rear height 2 ticks higher
    Engine limiter 103%
And 13L of fuel for one lap

    Nice thanks.

I'll try those settings and see how much of a difference they make.

I had everything default apart from fuel and soft tyres.

I'll still have to improve my driving though :)

At Nords there are a few key corners before the long fast sections, these you need to maximise the exit speed and can easily lose 1 or 2 seconds before the next brake point just missing the apex pr being a bit later on throttle.

Using a delta especially a PB delta really helps as you can see instantly where your gaining or losing time. You will see if your a little messy into a corner how this will effect your exit and how much time you lose. In some sections you may find that being a bit more agressive can gain time but mostly keeping it clean and tidy hitting all apexes will give best results.
