1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

If m235i racing and m4, then m2?

"Mine's smaller than yours" is the new "Mine's bigger than yours". :D
Your NA is an Abrams tank. I ride a Ninja 250. And some bicycles. :p

That M2 looks fun enough, but I feel like the 1M would end up being my go-to for that sort of thing. Anyway, if I could have only 1 BMW in the entire game, it would be the E30 M3. Oh, lucky me! We have 5 versions. :)

    Ring times are sometimes/often gamed.

Imagine how slightly better conditions on a short track matter up to a few seconds with a road car on street tires. On a GP track that gap becomes even larger, and on the Nordschleife, a really long track with a really old track surface?

This is how, for example, Nissan gamed their GT-R lap times. They rent the track for a (couple of) day(s), then spew a train of cars onto the Ring to keep it at optimal temperature (at least as good as possible), then do a lap time that's likely way faster than what any objective test could do on even a near perfect day.

Nordschleife times also barely matter because that surface is often very different to most roads (especially Western European, not Belgian, highways). Some (or a little more than some) cars are even "tested" at the Ring with suspension tweaks.

For a car that you'd probably drive daily, I think driving fun should come first (maybe after some other practicalities). Some cars are fast but drive like ****, see how the best driving/drivers car lists stack up against the list with the fastest lap times by cars (from that era).

Finally, there's no such thing as the official Nordschleife lap time, because it's prohibited to record/time them. Sorry for the lack of sources for all of the claims, but I think common sense can fill up wherever necessary.:)

On proper wheels + a bit lowered, I would only choose it black on sliver rims:)

    Here's the official record lap:

Me too I'm a little confused by thoses times, how a fwd, sub 300hp, break can match a in-line 6, 370 hp, RWD ?? What's your explanation about this ? And it is not just about the Leon, the Civic Type R (fwd) is even faster...

    What is going on ??

I think Renault Sport started this "hothatch-laptimes-battle" with one of their Megane RS models. Since then some manufacturers jumped onto that train to communicate how sporty their brands are.

    Semis.

And the simple fact that until now BMW never has never been accused of overrating their cars.
VAG on the other hand(and the rest)...hate to say it. :)

    Cheers
