1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Im sorry to say that but the Game is dead.

Oh another generic dead game thread, points for originality, not.

While this thread is pointless and was created for the sole purpose of ruffling the feathers of supporters and devs from a dark lonely teenager's basement, it does seem that this kind of rot reappears whenever the devs stop actively communicating with the community, every time. Yes there are active devs assisting users with issues, @Minolin is particularly good at this and we appreciate his time. But general roadmap/"what we're working on" comms only seem to come about when Kunos is in disaster management mode and once things smooth over they stop with any sort of general product communication. 5 and a half weeks since the last update and the "what we're working on" thread abandoned months ago, unfortunately this is what happens. It's happened like this many times before, and now it's happened again. Kunos needs a community manager/marketing manager who understands the irrational mindset of the entitled gaming public. It's easy to get ahead of this kind of stuff Kunos!

Kunos aren’t good communicators, never were. But thankfully that’s not what they do, they make sims, great sims that MANY people will enjoy for MANY years, long after these “game is dead” threads are archived people will still be doing laps in Kunos sims with a smile on their face and I’ll be one of them.

PS, I do miss @Lord Kunos coming in to these forums from time to time to voice a very unedited opinion.

Or better still offer his views on sim racing and his works...

Fully agree with you Barra. There is many important issue/bug/question threads that have been created with absolute radio silence. Not even a simple thread prefix to acknowledge the problem exists or that it is on the radar for future development..

Yeah there seems to be a pattern emerging so one cannot argue here. Minolin has been an absolute champ the last couple of months as many people have taken to "SA" with a poor and negative attitude. When this sim was getting smashed hard from post to post and steam ratings were low there was a lot of communication and support from the senior devs. At one stage we were even asked to provide positive feedback on steam, which I was happy enough to do.. A lot of us supporters around here also chipped in to help fight the fight against the negativity and trolling that was occurring by spreading positivity around this forum and others in hope that this new sim would gain the traction it deserves. That said now that ratings are up it kind of feels like we are not really needed as much or there is something else going on here. That said I don't require constant attention, I'm not special in anyway, I just think occasionally a little update (words not release) would help calm the community and when something serious is raised it would be nice to have an official word every once in a while as it effects leagues that are currently midway running etc..

They're not obligated in any way to tell us anything... but, that's not really how product marketing works these days. Their peers provide roadmaps, which Kunos are by no means obligated to do. But this proactive approach gets the internet public talking about the positives and speculation about what they are looking forward to, and current bugs/issues take a back seat as we are enthusiasts and the future steals our attention. It's really simple, they don't even need to tell us much to get the masses excited about something incoming and prevent bull faeces like this thread.

Their company, their choice and NFG on my part
