Look to Apex

Does look-to-apex help with most of the left turns having their apex right behind the A pillar on the interior view of the M3 GT2 car? Makes it harder to do all the chicanes on Imola :x

A good headtracking with webcam come's only with the correct data. you must adjust graphics, and, obviously, you must take immovable the cam. I'm trying today..and..I must say I'm having a new AC..! (I've also changed pc, just today..!)

 

I miss looking at the apex of the curve, I'm used to it. Project Cars has this feature, and works great in my opinion. It would be excellent to see this inplementada function in this simulator.

Agree. Please add adjustable look-to-apex that can be switched off. This is necessary.

Yeah I dont really like Trackir. Its not about looking, you need to actually move your head to make the thing work, which is not really natural, specially for someone with trained peripherical vision. Other than that, I guess its still bugged in AC, cause we need to almost look behind our necks to be able to see those right hand mirrors.

Look to apex would be cool, specially if its configurable, for example, limiting the max angle and things like that.

Please enable a slider in the options menu for - look at the apex -
The Idea is to make the head of the driver turn as the wheel turns.
The slider would define the amplitude of the head turn.
The default position would be off for those who don't want it.
I think it would feel more natural. GTR Evo also had this setting via file editing.

i have been wondering about this feature for quite some time now. Have you guys not played rfactor 1 and 2 and the Look Ahead feature that exist there? it is the best thing ever, i for one am a drifter and that becomes a very lacking thing once you get used to it, it feels like drifing in a neck cast when u dont have it so i have to resort to a super extended FOV setting jsut to get to see out of my windows when sideways and no i wont be getting an occulus, i do not have the funds for that at least not curently and thet is more of a wierd thing for me to go to i jsut want my screen so i can watch my kids while the are playing around, having box on my face that closes of my senses to them is dangerous for a 1 and 2 year old. so having this feature is kinda the only way i can get the affect im looking for.

+1 - Like this feature - with adjustable slider. Use it with GSC 2013 - which is RF1 engine.

 

Would love it as an option with degree setting as well. For all with one screen its god sent. Plus with lower degree for others as well. When i come into sharp corners i cant see anything atm. Im just guessing if a car is there or not (if it sped up and cleared the corner or not).

But I think it could be better if Kunos could add the look ahead feature like gMotor sims instead of shift street look to apex. While look to apex automatically turn the view to the apex corner, look ahead function make the view moving while you move the steering wheel.

That will be bad when drifting. Head will turn left right like mad.

But only if they spend a bit of time on it and make it seem like natural head movement. I don't want to see it like a camera jerking left and right like it's on a pivot.

 

oh really? hmm. i dont seem to have that problem

 

I've used TIR in flightsims for years now, it's just completely natural for me. Not having it active feels like I can't turn my head, frustrating.

I just wish the dev's would unlock the view, then it'd be perfect.

 

I use that function to drift in another games and it works good. I just suggest it as an option, like it or not, but LOT of users use that feature.

If AC doesn't add this feature I refuse to buy or modding nothing about AC.
