1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Yeah, heel'n'toe doesn't do much on a Ford Mondeo in real life haha, especially since there isn't any track nearby to ruin it.

    My impressions exactly. I don't know how they have done it, but with the 718 I feel like going through a slick modern gearbox, while it feels old and clunky on the RSR.
    I mean I'm using the very same shifter and clutch pedal, yet it feels different and appropriate to the car.
    Maybe I'm fooling myself here though, I'm good at that.

    Personally, I do [left Edit : lol, mistake here :oops:] right foot brake most of the time as soon as I need to heel'n'toe for a downshift. But when I feel confident in the car/track combo, I eventually [right Edit : d'oh !] left-foot brake on the braking points where I know I don't need to downshift.

    Then in very modern cars, I left foot brake of course.

    I can't even left foot brake, feels f-ing weird to me. My dad learned me to use the left foot for clutch only, drive like this my entire life.

    I find it very hard to be consistent with the Porsche cars. One lap I'm on it, the next I've slid wide and I've lost half a second, or worse and I've spun out. The classic racers are the hardest in this respect, the GT4 club sport is not too difficult to master and is fairly forgiving. Really pushing those old racers is tough and I think in order to do a longer race I'd need to drive at 95% as pushing it near the edge you will end up in the barrier.

    Same here, until I started sim racing. Now whenever I'm unfortunate enough to drive an automatic transmission car IRL I just naturally left foot brake and I'm just as smooth with it as I am with my right foot. In my car (manual transmission) I rarely left foot brake because I'm rarely in a situation where that would be of use (like on a track needing a dab of brake without needing to clutch). Just takes practice, like most things it will eventually feel just as natural as right foot braking. The odd thing is that even though I heel/toe every day IRL I really struggle with it (and right foot braking) on my sim gear. Just need to practice more and maybe adjust my brake pedal a bit.

    I learned to left-foot-brake as a kid because some of our vehicles at the time had auto-trans with carburetors and poorly functioning chokes during cold weather; driving two-footed was the only way to keep them running until they warmed up.:)

    I was rev-matching first time in the army where I drove Russian manufactured Zil military trucks. Those trucks were awesome because they were so bad in every single way! Good 'ol days! :D

    Yesterday I did some laps at Barcelona GP to compare laptimes of LaFerrari, P1 and 918. You comment inspired me to do the same with the Huayra today to see how it compares, and it's not that far behind. It's about three seconds I think, which is about the same as I get by changing from road tires to trofeo tires, so with the Huayra on trofeos, I could match the laptimes of the other three on road tires.
