Weekly challenge 2 - 3rd March till 9th March - Z4 GT3 Monza

heres a 1.50 i did today finding it hard to break into the 1.49,s though

 

I'm no setup expert but try to keep the rear softer than the front of the car. Should help with accuracy while turning in and with traction while exiting the corner

Just done 201.385, but happy with that. I think I spend too much time tying to set the car up, rather than just driving!! That's six seconds quicker than this morning.

 

Try using all the road possible when exiting turns. Particularly at the Parabolica (last corner), you're keeping a very tight line. You'll want to keep yourself on the very left side of the road instead, in order to gain maximum exit speed:



At the Ascari exit too:



There's a nice tarmac strip on the right that you can use. Just keep two wheels within the white line or the lap won't be legit.

Same thing at the two Lesmos: you can put two wheels on the green synthetic grass, it's not slippery as in Imola, but it's easy to overdo and carry too much speed. I usually use the track marshall on the right as a reference to start accelerating:

Really struggling with this one. Albeit, I've only done a few laps, but got down to 1:55:7. Awful!

 

The setup files for the car, where do you put them?

Nice to see the whole leaderboard. I got to find some speed!

I do hope that Kunos will fix the display issue with it though where it obscures the names behind some of the buttons.

 

Yeah it defo needs some work. But it's a good start at least.

 

I managed a 1:54:4 last night and know I can go a bit faster, just have to work on stopping the snaking under heavy braking into the first chicane. I think I may be trying to overdrive it.

 

Libraries->Documents->Assetto Corsa->Setups-> then find the car and track

 

Loving the current standings on the opening post - really adds some early rivalry to proceedings

wow..still struggling to pass 1.56, after running T125 for a while this car feels like a big boat loaded with whale
will run some laps tonight, hope i can break 1.55..

 

Thanks Paul. Can't even reach my time again. Consistency with the 2 tight corners affects the time a lot.

Re the Friends Leaderboard app, I already reported that issue under the GUI subforum even before 0.7 was released, but apparently they changed the status to 'fixed' even if the overlapping still exists. Though I think they already adjusted the font to be slightly smaller.

 

Nice setup, this definitely helped get another second off my time. Front end feels tighter with better grip, can spin it more easily than default, so need to be a bit careful under heavy breaking, but better for sure.

 

1.49.2 with Rigel set up, I did a mistake in the 3º Split.

It would be posible 48 mediums with more practice, very nice set up.

IA are extremely slow in this track!
