1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Sooooo. ...are you meant to turn the fuel and tyre wear off? And what's factory assists?

If I turn tyre wear on and fuel on then I can only do a couple laps before the fuel runs out, then when I restart the tyres are cold. If I turn the fuel off and tyre wear off I can run unlimited laps, but from the videos I've watched in this thread it doesn't seem like some are running that way.

I had about 50 laps tonight so far but only could do a 1:25.5xx. I'll post a proper time once I get the answers to the above questions.

Not sure what others do but I run tyre wear on. You can't run so many laps on the trot this way as the tyres
performance falls off but it's more realistic and I'm not sure whether you maybe get better optimal tyre temperatures that way as well, not sure how that works if tyre wear is turned off... others will probably be able to confirm that though.

I know other have answered, but as I create the threads I should chime in...

Fuel and tyre wear is free, meaning you decide what is best for you, personally I am running with tyre wear and fuel usage on with a low fuel load, enough for 2 laps at most. I also switch the tyre warmers to on to so they are up to temperature from the get go. They still take a little while to settle down, but I don't have to do a complete warm up lap. I suppose I should add this detail to the OP of each thread.

You can set the assists in one of the screens before the track loads, for traction control and ABS you have the choice of, on / off / factory. It is asked to use factory for these challenges as that best replicates the car IRL, it is also asked to set stability control to off as it isn't a true representation of a system on a real car.

I would like to point out, that if we're trying to be like the real car.. Fuel consumption and tire wear should be ON..

But I don't think it really matters.. just saying.

It's all fun. Personally, if I really wanted to, I would even use Stability Control, if it helped me catch up to you guys up front.. of course I would admit to using it (if I did) and you would then just need to add a * beside my PED time :D

Edit*** one of my best moments in this game so far was on the WHC when I was about to smash my ghost by about a second, and I ran out of gas 2 turns away from finish!!! Couldn't even be mad, it was so great! lol

the first couple of weeks I was running no tire wear/fuel consumption then noticed that other folk were running with them on.

    My times now have

    tire warmers - on
    Tire wear - on
    Fuel consumption - on
    ABS - Factory
Traction - Factory (will adjust level if available in game but not turn it off)
    Stability - off

Interestingly Andy, the two sessions I have had subsequent to our little conversation here I have found that I am struggling for grip on the 3rd lap.. so I went to just doing two laps per run. Weird because I didn't find that previously and the actual game settings were not changed. The only thing I altered in setup was a click less rear wing.

Ahh! i didn't realize there a an actual "factory" setting. I just always turn everything off so that's what i would have done months ago when this game came out, and i just left it there.
Tyre warmers i will turn on now for these sessions.
Fuel i had turned on but after a few times running out and having cold tyres i just turned it off and tyre wear off and ran lap after lap trying to learn the circuit and get a feeling for the car. I'm still screwing up Copse and Stowe on some laps though....it's a little frustrating atm.

Will try to figure out how to add the image from one of my sessions last night.
tyre wear off, fuel off, no assists.

Like @Duster24 said the easiest way is via your phone as you can just upload the picture direct rather than have to go the route of uploading to a file sharing site first.
