1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Welcome to the thread for the Weekly Hotlap #16 - The Potent Mix

    The Challenge.
    Car: Ford Escort RS1600
    Track: Zandvoort

    It is time ;)

    The Potent Mix? Well that is what Ford's advertising blurb called the road car, the race car is well, even more potent. It likes to go sideways, and it likes to stay sideways, possible the easiest car to drive over the limit in the game :cool: Its a properly fantastic thing!

    Back to Zandvoort, it is a great track, especially for this car it feels narrow, offers a great variety of corners to explore the somewhat wayward handling of the RS!


    The Rules.
    Time of day: Free
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory
    Stability:Free
    Penalties: On <---New! Only applicable to Practice mode.

    Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, I really don't like disallowing times!

    The Deadline.
    Sunday January 22nd - 22:00 GMT

    How to take part!
    To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap / Practice choose the Ford Escort RS1600 and head to Zandvoort Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

    You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple :)

    To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature.

    All Platforms are welcome, please let us know what you are using when submitting a time, please also include the time in the text of your post as sometimes the images are difficult to read.

    Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

    A leader board will be collated on a daily basis to keep everyone up to date on where they currently stand...Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post will not be updated.

    Feel free to use the     unofficial leader board but remember you still need to include the session screen in this thread to be included in the results.

    I'll wait to post my time. This car is a feisty little beasty. Btw, I selected the RS1600, but in the lap session screen is says Escort Mk1.

    Still figuring out the videos but I think I've got it now!
    Fov seems less in video compared to when wearing the rift I can see my legs and arms and a lot more of the interior in the rift..

    P.S. oculus rift is awesome! Can't wait to see how far they push the VR technology..

    haha this challenge is pretty close to my younger years ( yes that's a long long time ago). Zandvoort in a Opel Kadett C (the red one).Memory lane...now back to the real world --> Set a time with this Potente Escort @Zandvoort.

    I feel much the same, dream club rally car of my youth. Great track for this car too. Being a stick shifter myself, makes it a loose but fun challenge. That sound is uniquely wild too. Cheers GT.

    @Tomcul, this is on PC? Oh man, this is sick! Awesome video! I could feel the "fight" thru the video, beautiful!

    Excellent choice from Graveltrap! Since I'm not used to race without ABS, only without SC and TC,, probably I'll kiss some walls and do some rally before being able to post some lap time :p

    We have talked about the line before in these threads, general opinion is that it is better to switch it off and learn the track the old fashioned way, driving the track and picking up reference points as you go, not by going off track or having big accidents due to going to fast, *honest* ;)

    The line is generic so doesn't really provide the correct information for all the cars.

    I'll copy paste this here as I posted it in WH#15 right before it got closed...so...here it is

    Can someone explain how ghost actually works guys?
    When in hotlap mode sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesn't
    I just don't get it, I guess it is related to your replays, which I always save whenever I get a PB lap, again, how the hell does it work?!

    It is a ghost of your personal best lap. It only appears when it is a bit over a tenth of a second ahead from what I can tell.
