1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Sorry for jumping onto your thread, guys, but thanks for all the comments. Much appreciated!

My problem is that I love to just 'drive' in the game and enjoy this amazing sim-racing game. Physics, audio, paddle animation in-car, this game is so good. Racing the Lambo Miura in Forza it sounded like a shopping trolley, in this game it spits and snarls like a mountain lion. The difference is amazing.

My problem is that when I start 'racing' as opposed to 'driving' I also start swearing and using plenty of bad language when I miss each braking point and find that I don't enjoy things as much.

How much foul language does it take to reach the top 10 here? Does any of your family complain. Lol.

Not so much swearing, but I have a few DS4 shaped dents in my walls.

  3. One thing Ive probably learned from these challenges is to approach my limit from below rather than above.

Drive very slowly the first couple of laps with very conservative braking points, slowly move those braking points closer and closer each lap and aim for consistency rather than lap times. There is nothing fun about spinning out every other lap so just keep it clean.

It makes for a much less frustrating experience and youll find yourself naturally getting faster and faster.

Just go to hot lap, drive the way you feel confortable without think about competition, when you are tired just go on session details and share the best time. Doesn't matter if is slow, you enjoied the session and we have another competitor, the more the better, to have fun and share opinions. Bad language it's allowed only for missing world records at last turn :) or for casual online races of course

Bit off topic, but premptively I took the Quattro out for a drive, what's up with its front suspension? are the springs made out of marshmallow? crashes into the bump stops and bounces around on braking, and you can't adjust the spring rate.
the real cars suspension isn't like that.

The sprinter trueno the original not tuned is even worse, that the way like it is, to adapt to different handling, may be it requires some time. I felt comfortable in the audi at nurburgring north that is more similar to a street with default set up. I found even the way to drift that 4wd very consistently (setted up) in full control and white smoke, somebody told me it was impossible to drift the audi 4. It is not true. Anyway you have got the point, I imagine at (flat) magione would be a pain... that combo, we'll see.

Tried onepueblo's setup, went slower again, went back to defaults and eeked out a couple of tenths but that's all I've got. Congratulations to everyone that can get this hunk of junk to go fast because I sure can't.

I tried to be as smooth as possible with this little japan devil, but manage and find the right fingers sensibility both in corner entry and corner exit was a tricky challenge , but very enjoyable ;), a bit dirty on the last chicane and maybe i could shave off 0.1 0.2 sec, but overall i'm happy with the result.

So happy to be in the 1:43.xxx. This car has been so tough to master for me that every tenth has been a battle to get. I think it has made me a better driver though so super happy.

Bob takes back the top spot, can the kid fight back? 38 drivers have now set a time.

Had around four good sessions throughout the week. Was hoping to get my friends who like or are aware of Initial D to have a go at the challenge, but only one obliged. He managed a 1:57.366 using the paddles, which I'd say is quite a time for someone who doesn't care for cars or play racing games all that much. Just watching him get around the track after tens of tries with a valid time was a major success in my book, especially seeing how many times he spun out, went off course, killed the engine/transmission, or ran into walls and barriers.

Anyway, first lap I personally recorded was probably in the 1:52s, with my best of the first session being a 1:49.32 the very next lap. Eventually I figured out minor details throughout the week and was able to shave seconds away (1:48.05 > 1:47.64 > 1:46.59 > 1:45.92). I'd like to keep going, but there are new challenges to be had. Can already see improvement in my technique/approach from just two Hotlap Challenges! And yeah, again kudos to everyone putting in times here, especially you maniacs in the 1:42-1:43 range!
