1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    That's it for WHC#145.
Final standings to be confirmed shortly.

We do know for certain though, this week @Pretend racer has smashed it.
    What. A. Dude!
    Two minutes TEN everybody!
Here it is, the RSR table, “our man” Pretend racer (hope that title of respect and affection is ok,) is top of the table, the best in the world.

Huge congratulations and really really well done Pretend racer. I hope you don’t mind us rejoicing by proxy, it’s all we can get, we’re delighted!
Also, I’m sure everyone except @LieF wants to thank you enormously for the very excellent side by side vid. Genius. What a watch!

2nd Place this week is @LieF. This sort of combi is his ying and yang so no surprise to see him start the week at the top of the timing sheet. His final time of 2.11.441 is a good improvement from his original 2.12.1. Congratulations all round to you this week LieF!

3rd Place this week is @Lewisxbone, who nearly gave up on day one. His 2.11.699 is a result of skill and perseverance. There are some things in like we can be reassured about and depend on. One of those is that Lewisxbone will improve his time by around 2 secs over the course of the week. Well done Lewis!

Elsewhere on the forum this week, things weren’t as anticipated. Suspense, rebellion and melodrama.
LeiF started it it right away, with “Oooh…” but took over 24hrs to come good with a great opening lap. But that wasn’t the end of his teasing… Whatever he was up to, we shall never know and of course that makes him an extremely interesting person. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind me telling you that he prevailed, so we can all be chuffed for him.
Unanticipated also, but in a very good way this week was @Biner. He would be appalled to hear that, in my head, I think we have a similar pace usually. But no way this week, Biner was in a different league! He confessed to borrowing surplus Chi from LeiF and was on fire. 2.12s all the way and finishing with a mightily impressive 2.12.3. Fantastic, well done.
Just outside the top 3 this week was top man @Neilski, with a 2.11.9. impressive, together and competent, he is a rock, albeit a fast moving one.

There’s a bit towards the end of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy where Sam, from the bleak misery of Mordor, looks up at the sky and sees a star. He says something like… “Look Mr Frodo, there is beauty after all.” For us this week @Emmanuel Tubbiolo provided that moment with his inspiring, heart-warming story about something other than beating the RSR time… a dream that is becoming reality. His garden a la Provence! Trust me, ET, I know I’m not the only standing by for the invite next Spring/ Summer.
@moodyryder, showing the experience of a veteran and previous WHC organiser, kindly illustrated what I should have called the Challenge this week, Freude am Fahren. He also posted a quality vid – hugely amusing, poignant and an example to us all on how to cope with adversity. Hat’s off, it’s not an easy time, all the best on behalf of all of us.

Finally, it’s been great to see the return of two past master this week, @Tibor Solyom and @Hugo Catarino... and Hugo’s done lap too. NB Tibor!:D

Thanks everyone for playing and submitting times, thank-you for your support this week.

    On to 146!
