1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

So whats the bench mark from 1.7 vs 1.8? Is it about 0.5-1s slower now per lap?

I’d say around a second on average….might vary in certain conditions though

Tricky car around here, need more practice. I had one bad lap in there as well.

V1.8 seems like there's definitely more nuances with the grip. But it feels good overall. The curbs definitely are way more interactive and defined.

Apparently, I've made mistakes in all laps. Updated to v1.8, not sure what to expect as I had not driven this car before, but I felt it very understeery and felt much less grip outside the racing line. Makes any sense?

Last lap invalidated due to abusive kerb riding.[IMG][IMG]

I can share my setup if you want to give it a shot.

I found a base aggressive setup to understeer a lot as well

The ST doesnt have as much DF as the GT3 car if I recall. It definitely feels much more raw than the GT3 Lambo

They are essentially the same car, just with differing aero types, weight and power output.

For instance, the ST runs a four-fin diffuser and side canards. Whereas the GT3 sports an almost flat, six-fin diffuser with additional blades each side of the apron. They also have differing rear wings which, due to their mounting, mean a differing rear end. The GT3 also has huge blade skirts, the ST smaller wave style. And even the front end, the GT3’s is completely redesigned over the road car it is based on, where as the ST has the side intakes removed.

The engines are exactly the same, differing power configs - GT3 around 500, the ST 611. The gearbox is the same XTrack, six-speed sequential - but crucially, the GT3 is lighter.

I’ll stop now, I’m even starting to send myself to sleep.

I’m in the 08’s for lap time if I can keep it together without spinning, just not sure if I’m going to get another chance.

Thanks for the offer, but I don't think I'll be able to simrace this weekend, lately I've been working a lot.

Regarding graphic setups, I'm on a 4K TV, AC runs well on 4K, but in ACC I first had to reduce the resolution to full hd and let the tv handle the upscale to 4K, but quality was not good. Later I let ACC upscale from full hd to 4k, with similar performance and better image quality. Now I'm experimenting with FSR in performance mode (equivalent to upscale from full hd to 4k), I couldn't notice quality differences nor performance, except about once every minute a sudden drop in fps, as if a frame had frozen for a while.

Later i'll do a more scientific comparison to reach conclusions.

I run ACC on a 4K TV as well and with the 3070 I can hit between 80 to 100 FPS average on mostly epic settings with foliage and fog set to medium or low.

Experimented a little bit with dlss and even with it set to quality mode I gained 10 to 15 FPS. Each mode up from that gain an additional 5 to 15 FPS. This was well cruising around suzuka in the lambo.

So from regular AA I was getting around 85 to 90 and with dlss on quality I got around 100 and then moving it up one step at a time I got it pretty much all the way up to 135 FPS on average at 4K

Reading that consoles had an unfair advantage this week, I thought I'd try it.

Unfortunately, I have the contradictory disadvantage of being a bit ****.

    Good fun though.
